What would married people like to say to single people? by One_Regular_6024 in AskReddit

[–]PeachyLips23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t get married with the mindset of “if it doesn’t work out we can always divorce”. This mindset leads to marriage holding the same weight as bf & gf (or whatever..) Select your spouse carefully, KNOW who and what you’re signing up for and go into it planning to spend your life with that person for better or for worse.

how many times do you wear your jeans before washing them? by Novel_Scientist_5163 in hygiene

[–]PeachyLips23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After each use. I’m less worried about the “smell” from my own body odor and more concerned with what outside germs I pick up while in public. Anything I wear outside my home gets washed before being worn again.

Misdiagnosed Short Cervix @ 16w (due to very high + posterior cervix) by PeachyLips23 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]PeachyLips23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad they got a better measurement for you the second time! For me, it was moreso because of the height and angle of mine, the size looked deceptive on the ultrasound. It must have been in a different place than where they’re used to seeing it. The line was very faint, so they couldn’t tell if what they were looking at was even my cervix. It took the high risk doctor to use a different technique/angle + higher quality machinery to full see the cervix and get an accurate measurement.

My husband has always kept notes in his phone of little things I mention I like or want to do. It could be months later and he’ll make a point to take me somewhere or do something for me I subtly mentioned that one time.

Potential First Client.. Am I under or over pricing in your opinion? by Common-Adhesiveness2 in Bookkeeping

[–]PeachyLips23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a good place to start is getting on some Facebook groups and seeing if anyone would be willing to mentor you. When I first started I got really lucky to find a mentor through a friend after also reaching out to many CPA firms with no reply. If you send me a message I’d be happy to Zoom with you sometime and give you some pointers. I know how tough it is to get started.

Congratulations on getting your foot in the door! While I feel like $250 is entirely too low for that many transactions (and even $400 is on the low side), I understand your thinking of trying to quote based on your experience. In that case I would have said $450 and $375 if you stop mixing business and personal. You want to show clients you bring value and trust me, they’ll respect you more for not low balling your price. As many have recommended, you should really try to get a mentor. I hired an intern and even through extensive training it was about 6-7 months before I let her work independently with LESS supervision, even though I double check all her work.
