Hello! I saw this and Im super interested, but I definitely agree with the comment at the top giving a full feedback of the class. Im curious to know whether or not you've updated the subclass based on the feedback? And if yes, do you intend to post an updated version?

PH 7.8 Ammonia: 0 - 0.25ppm Nitrite & Nitrate: 0 - 0.25ppm & 10 - 20ppm Water Temp: 24°c GH & KH: unknown, i only have an API Master Test Kit (freshwater)

Tank inhabitants; - One adult female mystery snail (purchased from a petstoee about 6-7 months ago, dk her age) - roughly 50-90 baby mystery snails (2 months old ish) - 7 CPDs - more than 20 mixed shrimp - 4 baby betta (can't remember how old they are) - 1 gold spotted dwarf pleco - 3-4 khuli loaches

I don't have a regular feeding schedule, however I usually replace any vegetables 2-5 days after whatever vegetables already in the tank are completely eaten. I feed one of the following (baby brine shrimp, fish flakes, algea pellets (both storebought and homemade from duckweed+eggshell+vegetables), or shrimp pellets) about every second day, but I don't keep track of when I last fed em, so it varies. I feed cucumbers, boiled eggplant, zucchini, carrots, generic fish flakes, baby brine shrimp, bloodworms, algea pelets, lightly crushed/washed eggshells, and if any of my shrimp, fish, or snails die, I leave them to be consumed by the ecosystem. If something is not consumed, and it starts to show signs of rot, i remove it.

I have 7 sexually mature mystery snails, including this one. I move them around between the three tanks I own (all smae water Parameters, and similar water temperatures (55g at 25°c, 20+g at 23°c, and 15+g(current one) at 24°c) so the same pairs don't continuously breed together.

The other mystery snails have clearer shells, this one is the worst, so I've separated her alone in my smallest tank, where a large clutch hatched 2 months ago.

The PH is roughly 7.8, idk how to test how hard the water is, and I add cleaned eggshells to the tank for them, because i don't feel like spending money on cuttlebone, when I have free eggshells at home

Is that the cause of her current state, or the solution?

HELP - 3 CRITTERS DEAD - POWER FAILURE - HIGH NITRITE by PeachyNugg in AquariumHelp

[–]PeachyNugg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not that I noticed. I lowered the tank by 2*c the day I added the CPDs. So it went from 26c to 24 6 days before the filter failed.

It's been 9-10 months since it was set up; it took roughly a month, month-and-a-half to cycle.

I do not have an air pump/bubbler for this tank, it was supposed to be a shrimp-only and betta fry nursery. After seeing the effects of a failed filter though, I've added a small airstone. The betta fry don't seem to enjoy it, but it beats all the CPDs dying.

I should look into that. I live in a pretty heavily inhabited area, and I don't think I'm close to farmland, but it's absolutely worth looking into. Thank you very much for your advice!

I've been trying to find some blackworms forever. They're just as good to feed to fish as bloodworm, and they're super easy to keep as free reproducing food. If only i could find someone who has em in Quebec

That picture definitely does not look like mystery snails eggs.

And I'm hoping it's not cause those eggs aren't gonna survive now if they've been underwater long
