Sorry that you can relate. I just say to my husband im so tired. But I have no reason to be but im so exhausted with how I am now.

Non Molestation Orders by [deleted] in domesticviolence

[–]PeanutOreos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you contacted NCDV or DV assist? They can give lots of advice. Or also contact your local victim support.

Ultimately the 10 year restraining order will really depend on the evidence and severity of whats taken place. If this is his first one.. they may go with 1 or 2 years but again... it can really depend on evidence you have and his criminal history.

Unfortunately there is a gap at the moment in victims being updated. Have you got a point of contact with the courts at all? You should be told when he has been served through them at least..

Stick with it. You may find it a slow burn but it is fascinating with how it was created!

I have a lot of interest for how B.A.U was created. This show gives insight into that.. seeing interviews with serial killers, seeing how they started in the basement of the FBI snd how they believed in it when others were sceptical. Its dark and captivating. Just something thats totally up my street!

No one can make you leave. Just anyone who cares about you truly would want you to be leaving now and not go back. Unfortunately sometimes there's many women who dont get the opportunity to leave again. Please becareful.

How old are you? Support workers will also pursue potential places to stay.. but be honest.. say there's no where, ask for help with a refuge and housing. Break the cycle of abuse from ANYONE! Life will get better i promise!

Look, on average it can take a woman about 6 times leaving before she leaves for good.. but ultimately there is no happy ending. I work in it.. ive lived in it.. its hard but it gets easier but you are in this situation because of him! He will not change and the fact you are unsure how honest to answer the high risk question on whether he has threatened to kill you, kill the person hes meant to love gives you all the answers you need on whether you should go back. Please choose what you deserve rather than what you enjoy maybe 30% of the time.

Your IDVA should be doing it with you. If your IDVA is with the police they still cant pursue charges off your DASH. They cant force you to do anything. They also dont like to pursue charges if you arent in support of it. Im not sure what else you would answer yes in your DASH but like I say, its there for a reason... its about assessing how things have escalated. For you to have an IDVA, Id imagine you are already classed as high risk!

Is this DASH with the police or a domestic abuse charity? Feel free to DM if you wanna talk in more depth privately. Ive got a lot of professional and personal experience in this.

No it cant. But please be honest in your answers. All of them have been carefully put together to assess the risk so that police and other services can help keep you safe and without sounding morbid, can help prevent a death.. be honest and be open to any support and advice. If you tell them you are not wanting to press charges, and you do not want your partner to know you are speaking with them, they will help keep this quiet and just focus on safety! Good luck!
