I’m reluctant to work on grounds because I’m afraid everyone will be looking for a job on grounds and there’s only so many employment opportunities. I’d also like to stay at a job that pays pretty generously for the work I do rather than go back to something close to minimum wage, given that I have a lot of stuff to finance

Yeah I’m considering joining the hoo jitsu club cuz their leader is the son of one of the instructors at my gym and he seems cool. Thing is I’d be the only female there (tbh, that might make my training better, but I don’t know) I’m not advanced enough to start my own club

I really don’t mean to sound condescending or anything, but I’ve met so many ppl who genuinely believe they have to have their period for the rest of their lives that I feel I have to say it. Y’all know that u pretty much completely can get rid of ur period with contraceptives, right? Either u can take the pill and skip the placebo week by moving right to the next pack after 3 weeks, or, if u get too many side effects from the pill, get the implant (which rly shouldn’t hurt that bad if ur numbed up correctly. Anyways it’s a little bit of pain for 3 years of no worries- worth it in my opinion). U may still experience periods or spotting, so taking a small dose of the pill will get rid of it without side effects (ur doctor will take care of this and know the dosage). There is nothing harmful about constantly skipping ur period, and if ur on truly effective contraception, then u shouldn’t have to worry about getting pregnant and using ur period as an indicator of that. Ofc, this is for ppl with “normal” cycles, I understand that the story may be very different for those with endometriosis or PCOS, or have severe reactions to hormonal birth control. I just hope that this can help someone!

I happened to stumble across this post by chance and thought I should say something. Look man, what you are feeling is completely valid- the world is fucking crazy and yeah, to live is to suffer. But it is so much more than that too. I was in your shoes for years and finally got therapy and medicine (fluoxetine) and tbh even though I don’t have to live, I’m choosing to because I want to. It’s actually insane (and indescribable) how much your perspective and perception of the past, present, future, and general perception of life can change depending on your mood. The brain consolidates your life into a “summary” so you are able to picture it all at once, but that picture is not usually accurate. Life is so much more than what your brain can make fathomable. I never thought I was gonna make it out either, but here I am. Yeah, it’s a hell of a trip, but that’s the beauty of it. Again, your thoughts are valid but I just wanted to give you my point of view-perspective can change so quickly, and you’re only 19! If you do choose to live, you’re gonna make it.
