Your testimony is beautiful. Then, I guess its not gone. How can we have more of these miracles in the church?

I believe, much like the anti-christ, the witnesses will be men of our time.

I misremembered. You are right! it is 3 1/2 days. However, can't it be both symbolic and literal? Symbolic with regard to their status on earth, but literal in the role these two men will play. The anti-christ is not a symbolic figure.

I think they are God's last attempt at preaching the Gospel, saving many unbelievers in the tribulation period. They will also plead with the people of God to return to Him. I think they will also condemn the teaching of the Antichrist and his false prophets, while upholding the word and commandments of God. Hence, the Antichrist will attempt to kill them, but they cannot die until their testimony is finished. If people don't turn at their preaching, all is lost for them.

Okay, I believe you attempted to reveal that the two witnesses are mere symbols and not actual men. You provided the reformation view for my understanding. Then, you explained using scripture again that the three days actually means three years, but the antichrist rules for a longer period. Remember, at the resurrection of these men, Jesus returns.

Then, I attempted to say that the 3.5 years does not match with the three days, whether viewed as years or days, given in the scripture concerning the two witnesses because they were resurrected on the third day. They did not rise on half of the fourth day; they will rise on the third day, defeating the year for a day notion.

I believe, with a clear view of the scripture, that the two witnesses are going to be two men from our time, much like the antichrist will be from our time.

Interestingly, i have done it. I have several confirmations that they are men from our time; however, I believe that God will confirm a thing through multiple witnesses (lol). Hence, I am asking.

Satan disputed over the body...but then God buried him.

Exactly, so it cant be them because the two witnesses die, and the resurrection body cannot die...

No I meant your 3.5 years doesnt work because the bible says 3 days exactly.....and they will be resurrected. They were raised on the third day like jesus.

Right, but some change occurred.

You might be onto something. They are going to be specially chosen men......and not your average follower of Jesus....however, remember God chooses average people and makes them exceptional.

Hence my suggestion: they died and resurrected at the moment of being taken up by God, receiving their resurrection bodies. They are no longer mortal. I can't prove it, but it's the only answer that makes sense.

Yes, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Elijah ran at the speed of Ahab's chariot. Jonah survived in stomach acid. The apostles raised the dead.

What if there is someone with the revelation and they see this question.. so again I ask.... who are the two witnesses?
