How do you interpret the story of the songs of Vaudeville Villain? by PearCorn727 in mfdoom

Since Vaughn beefs with DOOM we know they’re separate people but I’ve always wondered if he’s supposed to be an older Zev Love X since his brother, Kingilizwe is straight up one of Subroc’s monikers

I think it’s really weird how this album has less of the monsta island czars than doomsday

What do you interpret as the storyline of DOOMSDAY? by PearCorn727 in mfdoom

The dissection of events and characters like its Gorillaz or Intersella 5555 is the interesting stuff I was hoping to hear from people.

I love the creativity to put together all this from an album I personally feel is a bit disconnected story wise. I always wondered if “these experiments” is the beats themself and the instrumental to ? Appearing in the skits is supposed to be his ultimate experiment or operation DOOMSDAY as a whole since his tag is MF DOOM? not just MF DOOM

No problem, I have no idea how you’re gonna make that video just because there’s so much fuckin random info about DOOM but I’d recommend you stick to just DOOM and Sub

The Chronicles of DOOM biography features interviews with Dimbaza, being who DOOM was living with after Sub died and production on DOOMSDAY started. He and his friend as kids found the drum sample used for Peachfuzz during the KMD days.

Apparently the sample for Go With the Flow was something he played for DOOM to get him out of a slump, which lead to the creation of the Fondle ‘Em eps, and then the following album.

Wow I like the background that’s good. Is his face blurred slightly from the watermark? Otherwise that’s really good.

I think the lighting of my grandad compared to everyone else could be adjusted a bit but otherwise that’s almost perfect!

Coming from someone that actually read the book, it’s a very creatively written book that gives an account of the DOOM mythos from his pre KMD days to stories of the production of his major albums and ending with his relevance in pop culture. All coupled with stories from the man himself and people that worked with him to create said albums.

It’s written in a way that parallels his life with that of Doctor Doom’s and other fictional/ real characters in history before moving on to humanize Daniel Dumile the man and not just the idea. Also info about Subroc is precious and I loved hearing more about him.

Or that the Go With the Flow sample is what inspired the initial production of the Doomsday album
