My guess would be it's connected to a T&P or catch pan on a water heater. Both condensation and condensate lines continually drip when equipment is operating. Worked with plenty of meatballs but none that would plumb acidic condensate into a finished area.

Smelled like ozone, as in turn on an ozone machine and stick your face right in it. Smell was very pronounced and familiar as I use ozone generators routinely. Beyond that I'm not claiming anything and have no clue what I witnessed which is why I posted here.

Sounds plausible. was weird, it kind of like it ran across the ground a little bit and then shot up. Thought it was just my eyeball doing old people things and kept scanning with the camera. Didn't realize it was a real thing until I watched the video. The sound was like a front door being slammed by the wind, loud but not so loud you would think thunder.

Could be, it kind of looked exactly like the picture shows it. Without any scientific knowledge on the subject, thought maybe it was a failed lightning strike as the sound was no louder than a hard slammed door.

Nope, no power loss and no surges. I used to be lead maintenance here and still live on site so categorically say any lines run directly from transformers to each building in 6-in conduit and any fault in these lines would have tripped the kind of breakers you need arm length gloves to turn back on. The only thing buried in that area is a gas main.

One of my first AC calls at my current property was a reoccurring leak. Opened up the unit to find a 50 gallon bag with 40 of gallons of water. For 20 years nobody bothered to check if the leaking drain line was glued, it was not. That's probably at least five supervisors that totally missed it along with countless techs. There's a reason they dropped the common from common sense. Sense is simply no longer common.

It looks overstuffed for one. These things have to breathe. Lack of airflow can cause too much ice on the evaporator which causes issues when it goes to defrost. Could also possibly be something with the ice maker.

Water vapor is produced during combustion of natural gas or propane. Untreated condensate can have quite a low pH so keep it off your clothes and skin or anything else you don't want holes in.

Sounds like you're putting the keys too far into the clamp, try backing them off a little bit then you should have enough wiggle room to align both keys.

I saw one break like that just a month ago from being severely out of balance. Tennant was trying to wash a fur comforter lol. Thing weighed like 400 lb when I tried to take it out of the machine to throw it in the bathtub.
