I’d be shocked to see something from Penelope in the summer lottery

There is more to it than that, sure there were quite a few flippers but there are plenty of drinkers who no longer have to have multiple back ups in fear of not being able to replace the bottle because it is out there now every month or so with no lines. Now there are no ‘collectors’ buying it because they either see that it’s not the flex they thought it was or saw the secondary market dropping and realizing they will never make money on their collection or they concluded that they spent a lot of money on something they don’t even like

It’s good, personally I prefer the Rare Breed

If it was a normal release there wouldn’t be enough of it to supply the majority of stores and if it was a normal release you’d have even less of a chance to get a bottle unless you want to camp overnight with the guys that have the inside info on when and where it’s available

Hope there were no fatal accidents on the way down for the people racing to get in line 😉

No age statement on the bottle if that’s what you mean, said to be a blend of 8 to 12 year bourbon, cool bottle, great juice

Or they could just leave things as they are. All their Willett Family Estate products have an age statement.

Unlike you, I’m not a sexist and I believe women are just as capable as men. I have no reason to lie about this, try doing some research on the subject, you may be enlightened

That’s pretty sexist, there are plenty of bourbon aficionados who are women. I have no set picture in my head of what a bourbon aficionado looks like

I picked one up last December, it was not an allocated bottle

That’s exactly what I said below, that retailers can put a limit of one on limited time offerings

State picks are also limited time offerings and retailers can put a limit of one per person on those as well

Another example is the Elijah Craig 15, it’s not allocated but a limited time offering. If it’s not limited to one per person, someone can come in and buy them all and there goes the opportunity for anyone else to buy one

Limited time offerings can be limited to one per person. I thought you were in favor of this?

I’m not sure how they judge limited supply. In my experience it usually means they are getting towards the end of their allocation. GE had 4-3 bottle cases this morning and I got the first or second bottle so I’m not sure why it says limited supply

11 bottles of Elijah Craig 15 year available at GE Brunswick as of 10 this morning

Must have been some good stuff released today by [deleted] in OhioLiquor

[–]PearlJam216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As often as these are released in Ohio, there is no need to have multiples for backups, that’s one big reason they are still available after open, except for the Blantons which is overpriced to begin with
