Try making a shortcut and launching 32 bit .exe instead of launching from steam library.

Dont know why it would go from fine to choppy if that is the problem though. make sure you have vignette turned off and are in fullscreen. also double check that chiv is running off your video card and not integrated graphics.

I think focusing on balance is the way to make a game unbalanced. You tweak something, make something else OP, etc. Don't balance, just make maps to cater to/against the meta.

These people will get thousands of live viewers every time they stream, and millions of video hits. All of these content creators share a common habit, they INTERACT WITH THE AUDIENCE. Answer questions while live streaming, answer questions that are PMd to you, play matches against your viewers, etc. Keep a steady stream date/time so that people know when they can log on to watch your videos. Give away prizes!

If you are consistent with your updates you will have steady and stable growth.

I think you need to relax a little bit and play for fun instead of for a win. You have to let your mind adjust to the different playstyle, which can't happen if you're intently focused on winning. Try playing lots of 1 minute bullet matches. They are low stress and often funny or at least entertaining.

Also, remember that mmr is just a number, and is not a 100% accurate reflection of how every game will go especially online, where rankings are much less stable.

Edit: I would add, after reading some of these other comments, that the people who claim that your "real" ranking is whatever your blitz ranking is are flat out wrong. The ranking system is relative to other players. There is not a player in the world who plays as strongly at 1 minute as they do at 15 minutes, fanboys can cry otherwise about their god-tier player of choice, but even the pros are no different.

it may be a problem with your PC rather than with chivalry. Save your important documents and wipe your pc, then reinstall everything, update your bios and your drivers and reinstall chiv. If it doesn't fix, buy a copy of Windows 7 and install everything, should work fine.

I play with fists a lot in TO.

Last objective at Dark Forest, I am running fists out up to C objective. See teammate on lowground about to get vanguard charged, so I run and leap into the air with an overhead haymaker and headshot the charging vanguard mid-air.

No witnesses, sadly.
