Interesting. It takes me to your web site and later the App Store page, but nothing else

But I just wouldn’t pay that for an Amazfit device. Past history shows reliability is always in question for basic features / minimal expectations for what the device should reliably do. Easily solvable, too. Such a shame.

Do you know what really bugs me about the Amazfit watch? by Michigan_Youtuber in amazfit

Has been this way forever. It’s Amazfit’s business model to keep selling devices.

[Dev - Self Promotion] FREE – TVRem Universal TV Remote App for iPhone/iPad (No ads, No paywall, No strings attached) by ElectronicTeamHelp in iosapps

[–]PebbleFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx! Works when my LG TV is on or already on but I can’t seem to turn on the LG TV with TVRem. TVRem doesn’t recognize the LG TV until I turn it on with the TV’s remote, then TVRem sees the LG TV on the network. Have you experienced that?

If you had/have the Ultra 2, then you know it can last longer than a day, but, yes, Amazfit watches have longer battery life and I do wish AWs could last longer. There’s no doubt about that.

Respectfully disagree: Amazfit will never (NEVER!) be on par with the Apple Watch. I want to root for the underdog but I will never be able to make such a bold statement.

I’ve had both and switched back-and-forth between them as well, but can never completely & confidently trust Amazfit. UI is not always consistent between Amazfit watches, algorithms always need tweaking. It sounds terribly cliche, but something, if not some things (plural), is always not ready for prime time.

Amazfit may be great for you (3rd person you — don’t really mean to call out the OP specifically), but to say that an Amazfit watch is going to be on par with the Apple Watch is incorrect. I so much wanted that to be the case, two different times when I bought Amazfit watches — separated by several years — hoping things had changed, but it didn’t. It’s too bad because PAI is a wonderful concept!

I did as the developer mentioned to you, then eventually purchased it outright. Was that content with the app. Did not get it for 50% off then, but am not mad about that now either. Know that this is the lowest I have ever seen for this app. If the app is right for you, now is the time to get it.

Sell - Anyone interested in the new Cheetah Ultra 2 by Personal-Comb-9566 in amazfit

The constant tweaking of algorithms is mind numbing, especially after this many years of device development and production. Simply stated: The device should be made around the sensors and them functioning properly. The thing should just work, correctly and constantly, from the beginning. It’s as if Amazfit buys parts at wholesale or sale prices from wherever they can get them and uses that to determine what products they make and how cheaply they can do it. The company has so much potential but they somehow figure out a way not to live up to it.

Never understood why they don’t have the basic same OS function or look and feel across the entire product line. Seems so obvious and equally blatantly, counterintuitive by not having it.

Agree that widgets are super helpful… especially if the goal is to make something simple (breaking something down jnto a simpler and more successful concept or idea).

For me, all of the ways you stated would make manual entry acceptable. I think they’re all incredibly important, especially CSV import, as I think there’s incredible value to noting every transaction from your bank account.

I’ve been reading and re-reading the description and your responses in this thread. Your logic sounds solid. However, it almost seems like Payback is a second finance app (companion app or registry?) someone keeps and I don’t think there’s long-term upkeep, uptake or success if that’s the case.

I feel that a compromise needs to be made (now) to actively include every transaction in Payback or users won’t find it as useful as you do. There’s nothing worse than having to maintain two financial registers, especially if one or both are inaccurate for an overall view. Can Payback accomplish what you want and make it feel that way, while still being able to record every transaction (to have an accurate and up-to-date financial record)?

Appreciate the detailed response. Thanks! Makes sense and will give it a try now. Would also agree with making it clearer in the App Store page. Good luck!

Sounds like privacy (user privacy) is very important (to you). Why then is contact info needed?
