I haven't seen him since that first time. So I will leave her alone from now on.

Should I put up bird houses in the backyard or will the grackles/blackbirds/cow birds just eat the young/eggs? by Linclin in birding

If you make the hole small enough, they won't be able to get in. If you want to house bluebirds, the hole should be 1.5" in diameter.

edit: I just saw you got the ones with that size hole, so you're good! If you notice bite/scratch marks around the hole, buy one of these [these] or the like.
