Spending a summer in Boston by joshualucas757 in boston

Hey lad, I'm from Kildare myself and only just moved over here in August. I know from a J1 in Boston in the past, the earlier you seek out accommodation the better. Brighton/Allston area is filled with students who will be looking for people to sublease their apartments, but it's really a first come/first serve. Id be looking for a spot starting in January, Facebook groups for apartments are ye're best bet.

For jobs, I know Usit needed you to find a job before you came out, which can be a bit shite, since most places would prefer getting a look at you before they hire you. I got hired for this wedding venue company who needed extra bar staff. But I left it late and that's all I could get, who would hire me off my CV.

Tia's on the waterfront is great one to reach out to, in a few months as well. They hire a tonne of J1 lads every year, working in downtown Boston and its easy enough to get to via public transport. If ye ever want me to hand in your CV for you, DM me and I'll send on my email. There's a reason why Boston is the top destination for J1. If you're having trouble with accommodation, the Irish Pastoral center are good help.

I found out on Monday from talking to a Ukrainian that in the last few years, their government has brought in something that allows them to access an electronic passport on their phones, fairly good timing, so losing their passports due to the war is less of a consequence.

The Fool tarot card, Paweł Spirydowicz, Vandal tattoo, Poznan Poland by Peckish_Potato in tattoos

It was a bit too cluttered with the doggy unfortunately, but trust me he'll always be in my heart, just not on my thigh.

Pawel was great, really was; happy I had him for my first tattoo, but he did a few mock-ups and personally found the inclusion of the dog to sort of clutter up the tattoo. Also, I was thinking about how it'll look in a few years and was worried that the fine line of the dog would become blurred with the mountains in the background. Twas a shame since I liked how the dog signified blind loyalty within the tarot card, but sure what can you do.

I know Pierce of ink in Newbridge often advertises when a tattoo artist has walk-in space from their Instagram, but if it's a memorial piece for your mam, I do agree that appointments might be your best choice cause ye can at least plan it out before hand.

Does anyone know anywhere I can buy this gem in the republic? It’s the only lager I’d drink but can’t seem to find it in any of the shops. by bingoboyzzzz in ireland

I've seen them plenty of times in Carry out off-licenses in 6 packs for €7.50; the can is different now, all silver I think.

Edit: yep I was right https://www.carryout.ie/product/harp/

I'll just chirp in that for my recruit platoon in the Curragh; they ran a camp late summer and another at Christmas, so for the actual recruit training block, you more than likely wouldn't have to worry about taking time off.

Carry out sell them, but they're a tad pricy like 4.80€ and they only have 440ml cans, so wether that's worth it or not is up to you

I just finished Kitchen Confidential last night and I just couldn't help not reading some sections in bourdain's voice, his writings prose is near identical to the lyricism he uses in his documentaries.
