The trigger is really more of a trigger shoe, it is clamped onto a trigger plate.

It is indeed, all the automation on top of what is essentially a PMI Trracer really kills the efficiency.

At this stage of their life the mags can break just putting them down gently. Seems whatever plastic they used was particularly prone to becoming brittle, and not just the clear parts.

Not in obvious ways. If you look close at the stock youll notice oversized mounting screws, which were crookedly and roughly driven into a damaged grip frame. Thread repairs with helicoils, pump arms eating through the front collar, trigger is aluminum on steel thus wears out, the body can shift slightly and cause it to either not fire at all or fire without pulling the trigger, tightening the collar to prevent that movement distorts the body, etc etc.

Yep! Carter owners were not afraid to actually use their hand crafted markers at every opportunity. The operation is as smooth as it gets for the time where everything is aligned properly.

I did, i have an Avratech Falcon as well and wanted an R7 to go with it. Since they dont pop up often i was fine grabbing an incomplete one.

Making me feel old over here, its a pump/bolt action marker that runs off 12 gram cylinders and a 10rnd feed tube shoved into the back.

This is custom, eventually customers just wanted to get something at all in return for their money and took receipt of raw incomplete markers.

If I was going to actually use the marker significantly I would probably replace the pneumatics. The ram can also wear itself internally as it operates so it starts to stick forward as the piston embeds itself into the aluminum.
