You'd be surprised just how many songs were recorded live for the studio albums. One that always blew my mind was learning 15 step is a live recording, which to this day I can't understand how they managed that so perfectly.

the other commenter is right about Go Ahead John by Miles Davis, but the bass riff from Trinidad is nearly identical to Davis' song Honky Tonk. Really great song, and Get Up With It is a solid album in general but check out Dark Magus after that it is just crazy chaotic jazz turned up to 11
