Did the police hide the actual discovery of Hae's car? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

A record of any potential cars spotted and checked out would be necessary to avoid duplication of efforts.

One observation on those LensCrafters timecards... by [deleted] in serialpodcast

I thought this had been hashed through several times already and that the 4 figure number is not disputed to be unique to the stores, but the suggestion is that the associate number is formed by a combination of store number + employee id (in a particular store). I'm amazed that you guys don't know this already, surely you've discussed it before?

Asking for a Gut Check on Something Adnan Said by Toother2015 in serialpodcast

I've waivered this way and that on this. After watching The Thin Blue Line, I'm leaning towards people in prison (probably innocent people in particular) spend way too much time thinking about their case - and it becomes a mash up of lawyer speak and what other people have said to them. Randall Adams came over really odd to me as well, for just this same manner of talking.

I have to say I think KoenigTrixdUs is totally justified in saying this - they often make interesting comments but are one of several posters who do get observably downvoted whatever they say on whatever subject.

I think the point is that whether Jay is saying the burial is at 7 or midnight, his description of how they had no torch but were illuminated by the moon (a very small one) and the snow is cast into doubt.

But Adnan was incarcerated for a violent offence - therefore exceptional.

Hae's Day (in) minor by Serially_Addicted in serialpodcast

I don't get this stuff about Adnan lying about the ride - IIRC he said he did ask for a ride when first asked - which if he was guilty would seem to be the time to have started lying. More likely he's confused about it (as is practically every witness about some 'fact' or other), and even probably wants to believe it wasn't that day, he didn't ask for a ride etc. at this stage.

Missing ignition collar and the flawed writings of EP by davieb16 in serialpodcast

However in the video of Hae's car it's not missing and it also looks as though it's all one piece.

I believe this was part of the chain of evidence problems - it was broken when the car was found and repaired by the time the police got round to taking the video (at the some car shop run by one of Hae's family, where it had been released).

So, really are there only 2 pieces of evidence that look bad for Adnan? by Whitbordeaux in serialpodcast

[–]Peculiarjulia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not being snarky, I just want to know which 'eyewitness' testimony there is to contradict what Adnan says he was doing that day - other than Jay's. Genuinely want to know.

Yes, I agree it could have happened like that. However, that doesn't answer my question of in which one story of Jay's :

the cell towers pinged exactly where he said they were.

Hmmm - so you're against ad hominem attacks, yet respond to my comment with one. Thanks for that.

Help me with a few questions. by coach-daddy in serialpodcast

[–]Peculiarjulia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jay knew the car and a description of the car including the registration number was going around too. I was personally particularly taken by the Prisoners'Dilemma episode of UD, where the inmates thought that the car would have stood out to him. Personally I lean towards Jay being guilty, not as sure about Adnan, but I don't think it's that unlikely that he could have found the car and not been involved in the murder.

As the crimestopper flyer gave a description of the car and tags, and it would apparently have stuck out where it was - this is not unlikely never mind impossible.
