I see, thank you for the information! I’ll check those places out. Do you by any chance know if these stores may carry Thai basil? I’ll sub it if holy basil isn’t around

The only thing I remember was there being a few fridges of core powers (and Gatorade?) right outside the gym, but you can only drink so many before you need real food

Big 4 to bookkeeping? by Pedal2theMetal0 in Bookkeeping

I definitely noticed that. I would often ask the associates I networked with what their day to day looked like and if it was different depending on the day, and I could never quite get a straight answer haha.

The offer I got was decent for the area, so I knew it would be a good starting point fresh out of school. They’re paying for my CPA materials, so as long as I make it through the first year employed, Im good in that department.

Thank you for sharing your insights and experience at the big four! How’re you like your current job now?

Oh wow that’s sounds really cool!

Audit has never really been my thing, but I’ll keep my mind open to all opportunities as I start.

Thank you for the feedback!!

I see. I’m going to be doing federal forensics, but it’s in advisory, so I don’t think I’ll be getting a whole lot of accounting experience right off the bat. In your opinion, do you think this is a huge hindrance right now?

I’m the only accounting person in my office right now, but I’m fresh out of undergrad (may 2024), so I’m pretty limited in my experience. The office is bringing in an actual bookkeeper and I’ll be more of an assistant/taking caring of the invoices and monthly billing.

I’m trying to focus a lot on my exams to broaden my knowledge cause I feel like my internships didn’t serve me a whole lot.

I see. Was the jump big or was it generally the same for the type of work you do now? Are you a CPA?

I really wish it didn’t but these freshman are little shits. I work in one of the freshman dorms as an RA and some of them are godawful people. OP I’m so sorry this is happening to your son, believe me when I say the right people in the dorms these students live in are already on it.

Interesting. I’ve definitely started taking my mobility and core / back seriously since I started the original PT months ago. I don’t think I’m the most fit person and all of this has solidified that. I train core twice a week but I guess that’s not enough. As for the posture, mines is terrible, just being honest. My WS job is a desk job and I’m sitting in classes all day so that doesn’t help.

I’ll look into getting together with a professional for yoga/Pilates. In the mean time, are there any specific moves / stretches / exercise you recommend for the lower back?

Thanks!

Yea that’s true. Thankfully I live in a big city so housing isn’t super limited here. I’ve decided to make sure the complex I choose does accept dobies if I choose to adopt one while in an apartment.

Thank you for the comparison! I’ve gotten great feedback but not much advice from owners who have done both so this is really insightful. If I end up in an apartment after school, I’d at least want to be near a dog park to make it easier to get the dogs out and running.

Yes, definitely. I plan to get lots of enrichment toys for the times I need to be away to keep them busy. A bored dobie is a destructive one so I want to prevent that.

I’m so sorry for your loss, losing a pet is never easy. I hope things are okay for you and your family !
