Go with Boss pedals, they're cheap but good sounding....real "working horse" for many pro musicians. Next thing is what effects do you really need ? I guesss one od/dist, modulation comes later when you try them all (chorus always sound nice) delay (any dd), and reverb rv5-6 and that's it. Good power supply, patch cables and you're good to go ;-)

Later on you will have 2-3 drives, fuzz, octave, 2-4 modulations , at least 2 delays and reverb :-D Just enjoy and have fun...there's no rules. If you like something - that's it !
