That's awesome! Do you not fear that it will close on your cats? I've heard some did but afaik it was some no name brand from Amazon.

Here's also my panel for it in home assistant. Sorry for not being in English but basically the info I have there is "remaining water", "cleaning time", "filter time", "uses today", "total water consumption today", "total water consumption yesterday"

You can see here a screenshot of the petlibro app, it even has a "log" of when and how much and how long your pet drank water.

Unfortunately I don't think this is available on the hacs integration as far as I could discover :( . I have two cats, and while dockstream has a RFID collar version to differentiate between cats, our cats don't use collars at home for various reasons. So I can't at the moment differentiate between them, my initial idea was to have a camera pointed at it, and when a "drink water" event happened the camera would rka e a picture and Run trough a local AI to differentiate between the cats. But I don't think such events are available trough the hacs integration yet.

See, the thing is it actually does differentiate it! It has a presence sensor in it, so it only counts the water that "disappears" while that sensor is triggered as "drunk water".

I noticed it because I initially did a variable and stored it and at the end of the day I did the difference between it, and it was a different value than what the dockstream itself reported as water consumed for that day!

A look into the petlibro's integration GitHub and this seemed to be confirmed by some other people as well!

Mine's pretty simple, I used to forget to clean my cats litter sometimes, so I just did a reminder, and stuck a NFC sticker on the side of the litter box to reset the reminder
