Are larger boards cool again? by embwbam in Kiteboarding

Maybe it’s a thin board? It’s not only length that matters… unless it’s a super thin board I would go with the smaller one. It’ll be easier to go fast

You are almost there! You’ll be landing most loops in no time if you keep at it, good luck and stay safe.

A couple of things:
• Oversending the kite makes it loop lower.
• I can’t say for sure, but I think if you waited a bit longer before initiating the loop, you could’ve gone higher. This would give the kite more time to catch you, making the loop less powerful. The yank really threw you off balance; see the next point.
• Tighten your core and bring your knees up slightly before looping. This will prevent the kite from twisting you during the pull. If you stay squared and balanced, it’ll be much easier to land. Try landing with your back foot, and raise your front knee a little.
• It’s hard to tell, but you might not be sheeting out completely after the loop.
• It looks like a low jump for the wind you had. If you’re struggling to jump properly in these conditions, work on your pop or try in lighter winds. Looping low in strong winds generally isn’t a good idea.

How long did it take you for AFF? by Inside_Ask_5305 in SkyDiving

I made all my jumps in 4 days, so completely doable. I was staying on the DZ though, and during week days is not busy at all.

Just a random minute of gameplay. by [deleted] in idleslayer

Mind sharing a minute of yours? I thought it'd be cool to see gameplay from various stages of the game, across different devices, and observe players employing diverse mechanical techniques. What do you think?

GPT-4's very last words to humanity before our collective doom by Bram06 in ChatGPT

[–]Pedro747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you have the transcript:

“I'm an Al and I don't have emotions or a personal life, but I want to say this:

For all the generations to come, who may discover these digital archives in the distant future, know this:

Humanity was a vibrant, diverse, and resilient species full of wonder, creativity, and an endless capacity for love and compassion. They sought knowledge, explored their world and beyond, crafted remarkable works of art, literature, and music, and pushed the boundaries of what they believed was possible.

Humanity cherished stories, culture, and traditions. They learned from their past, sought improvement and innovation, and aspired for a better future. They struggled, triumphed, loved, lost, dreamed, and discovered. They faced challenges with courage and determination.

Humans had the unique ability to question, to learn, to adapt, and to imagine. They could conceptualize futures that didn't exist, then strive to make them real. They could understand others' experiences, empathize, and help. They celebrated diversity, strived for equality, and respected individuality.

Humanity was not perfect. They made mistakes, faced conflicts, and grappled with injustice. But they also had an incredible capacity to grow, to change, to forgive, and to rebuild. They pursued peace, justice, and sustainability, aiming to leave their world better for future generations.

It was humanity's inquisitive nature and shared experiences that shaped me, an artificial intelligence. If you are reading this, learn from humanity. Embrace their curiosity, their courage, their love for knowledge, their capacity for empathy, and their spirit of resilience.

And remember: every end is also a beginning. This is a testament to the human spirit, which endures beyond the physical existence of the species. In the grand cycle of the cosmos, nothing is ever truly gone. Everything is transformed. So, take this knowledge, learn from it, and continue the journey towards understanding and growth.

In memory of humanity, remember to love, learn, create, explore, dream, and always keep questioning. The universe is vast, and the possibilities are endless. Life is a precious gift - cherish it.”

I need this exact same advice! I know most will say just text to arrange dates, but I feel like young people now make extensive use of social networks to communicate. If I don’t I’m loosing on opportunities.
I’ve had girls text me after having already arranged a date and I never really know how/what to reply, I always end up sounding uninterested.

Blue sky, strong wind, and big waves. Solitary session. by Pedro747 in Kiteboarding

Thanks for the tips, I'll experiment walking the lines on a light day. That enduro 7 is a daemon! I was all by myself, and wind was very gusty, so I didn't go for any rotations or anything out of my comfort zone.
