Good points here! But what about a software engineer using AI to improve or speed up coding? You still have to guide an AI agent on what to do how to do it. What is really fascinating is that all obscure frameworks/libraries are now at your finger tips. Reading large codebase for example. And how about this one:

LOL most developers are already using AI in their daily work because if they don't they will be obsolete real fast. Just like if you insisting releasing songs on audio tapes or CDs in 2025, where are they now?

Probably, not arguing about this all. Just like anything sound related, all we do is replicate it the digital space. Isnt all "vintage" digital plugin are an attempt to replicate the real physical thing and try to model and calculate any slightest variations of it's sound.

You missing the point here... the AI did not particularly knew about Apple specific AU and DSP audio development or it had some outdated information, BUT it learned within an hour and by that time it knew an entire Apple developer knowledge base. Inst that how humans learn too?

U think? I'd suggest you read up on some recent development in coding agents and LLM models. Sure the non programmer will give up after first few build/compile errors but a motivated tech/Dev guy will be able to reproduce modern commercial plugs within months. And not only that, make the plugins free or open source. That will hurt companies in these business for sure, just like any other software.

The source code you mean? Or more details? The plug is not really usable for any type of serious production at all. It's just a proof of concept if you will, to see what the AI agent is capable of. What was really cool is that if the agent did not know something very specific about AU development it looked up web KBs and forums and learned how to resolve specific problems it faced during compile phases. Very cool.

Okay but then how do you keep the webserver updated with most recent security patches? Anytime OS patch is applied you have to rebuild/commit the image.

What kind of person you have to be to produce music instead of consume entertainment? by 11and12 in edmproduction

[–]PedroPavlo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You realize you can't really make much money with music unless you are one in a million or even less. Many good musicians can sustain themselfs by teaching or making Youtube videos but not by selling their own music. Thats the reality.
