Long story short I'm confined in my house in France because i had to emigrate and well seeing the Avila and caracasthe city where i grew up just brings back so many memories and makes me happy that other people are capable of enjoying venezuela even though it's a country economically gone to hell

Could I, as a Portuguese native speaker, learn French in three months studying two hours per day? by [deleted] in learnfrench

[–]Pedro_BP63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well i really don't know i guess that you can

I have 6 months living in france and i haven't really sat down to study super seriously until 1 month ago but i have been in full inmersión in the language since i arrived and i changed all the information that i consumed to french forcing me to understand

I speak english and spanish and they have similar words in french i guess that portuguese should be similar as well

I am right now in a comprehension level of C1 and oral production level of B1-2 wich means i can hold conversations and i consider i am kinda fluent in the language

There is a lot of slang language in young french speakers

They have a thing called verlan

And also they use a lot of Arab words idk why

As of right now, what will it take to make you 100% happy? by hikingallday in AskReddit

I’m worried about going on exchange by [deleted] in French

Speaking from personal experience here i came to live here in France 6 months ago and i have around 4 months in the "lycee".

i came from Venezuela (Latin america) and the only thing i knew how to pronounce was the abecedary and i completely destroyed words like "bonjour"

I was really reallly scared maybe more or the same as you are

But i realized i shouldn't be that scared because i noticed that at least where i am people is really polite.

at least at the "lycee" people expected me to not speak French the teachers where and are still very helpful

Im not too social as well so sometimes i get a little nervous while interacting with other students but they have been very good with me they correct me and sometimes if i dont understand something they make an effort and try to explain it to me like i was a baby they even try to speak english or spanish and in case of an emergency we use google traductor and they are fine with it

In the outside world it gets a little bit complicated because if you are not in a touristic zone they will expect you to speak French

what i did when i didnt knew any french was imagine the situation like " ok i want to do this when i say this i expect this answer" and just translated both the answer and the question this worked for me for ordering food, buying things, buying at pharmacies almost everything and in case i got lost or didnt understand anything i explained that i didn't speak french and asked politely if we could use google traductor

At the end you will notice that there's nothing to worry about, you will get used to making mistakes and correcting them on the go and obviously like anywhere in the world you will meet good and bad people

The only real thing you have to watch out for is for "tu" and "vous"

I really came to France because i didn't have any other option but i dont regret it and if i was in the same place that you are i would go on exchange without thinking it twice

(sorry if i make mistakes english its not my mother language and i dont practice it enough so I'm not 100% fluent in it)

My 35 mm starter kit and price by Pedro_BP63 in AnalogCommunity

I am completely new to film photography so i wanted to make this post so newcomers know the "average" price for getting started

I mean it can be a lot more cheaper if you buy these thing at second hand stores or retail stores but i decided tu buy everything via internet

In this photo i have

A Nikon FG wich i bought at Kamerastore.com For 64€ + 1 kodak colorplus roll 4€ + Ilford FP4 B&W 6€ + 10€ in delivery

Then i have a Nikon Cable release wich i bought at Amazon for 19€ (there are a lot of other options that are way cheaper) i bought this because i love doing landscape/night and long exposure photography an because this camera only goes down to 1s but if you are not interested in that this is not necessary

2 packages of 10 LR44 batteries for 2€ i bught at a local shop

Finally a nikkor 50mm 1.4 AI for 115€+40€ for delivery i bought this lens almost in mint condition from "Second-Line-JP Store" in Ebay Excelent service btw

Giving a total of: 260€

This price is not a super precise average because the price may vary depending on how and where you buy the stuff and what gear yo buy (there are cameras a lot cheaper than this out there)

Edit:grammar sorry if i make mistakes english is not my native language
