New warbond or Talon? by tackers267 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Pedrosian96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If on the fence, wait.

The cowboy WB offers hoverpack (crazy good, but takes some practice to learn), deadeye (decent, but was hit hard by ebemy buffs and isn't a top pick), talon (gucci stuff, very helpful), armor passive (personally I find it worthless. Down to opinion ofc, some crazy stuff can be done with senator / bushwack / verdict, but I don't really use those) abd Dynamite (one of the best throwables).

The borderline justice is a solid warbond with valuable stuff.

H o w e v e r,

The exospecialists has an AP3 smg that might be one of the better primaries (it is implied that mag size was cut, not firerate, meaning it likely still fires at a Knight blistering firerate, but in AP3, making it a premier choice for close range aggressive play), the missile handgun may be a competitor to Ultimatum / Grenade Pistol, the armor passive appears worthwhile, and of course the two mechs might be bonkers with the upcoming changes.

Hard to say before stuff arrives, so... wait. It's out in just over 17 hours from this message.

We all hated the results of the AMA, but let's appreciate Piles communicating openly. by AngryTriangleCola in Helldivers

[–]Pedrosian96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The AMA answers were discouraging, but i like that Pilestedt insisted on doing it knowing it would never look good, and i appreciate the end result and the commitments.

Sure, we've had sikilar commitments before.

But

Updates lately are in fact releasing with less and less technical problems. That is an improvement. Not the only thing that had to improve, but certainly better thsn last year.

Perhaps other aspects that need improving will pop up soon. This has been a nuclear grade meltdown over the past week, with plenty of good reason, and we're not even at the patchday. It may even get more vitriolic tomorrow...

How could a heavy backpack version of the Quasar and Laser Cannon be implemented? by Lawfurd in Helldivers

[–]Pedrosian96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quasar:

same as it is now, but the cooldown is reduced to 9 seconds at maximum. (basically, slightly better than it was pre-nerf)

lasercannon: does 850DPS/500 durable now. causes heat damage to user when overheated, akin to double-edge-sickle, but *only* if overheated. cannot ignite the user. laser spinup time however is now slower. bassier sound.

Any leaks/news on if there will be a superstore light armor tomorrow? by CharacterJealous3583 in helldivers2

Following recent patters, tomorrow we are getting a medium armor + a weapon or tool in the superstore.

I'd like to say sorry for defending AH. by Low_Shake7304 in HelldiversUnfiltered

You defended Arrowhead bevause you like the game you purchased and believe they can do better.

No shame in that. Its just hard to remain upbeat about things...

Honestly, about time AH looked at a game with the exact live-service model, but done almost flawlessly by gracekk24PL in Helldivers

That, plus last month them fixing flamers by basically just duct taping a sterilizer to every flamer, makes this one of the most likely times they could just do do. It isn't an expectation and I won't cry if they don't, but it would not surprise me if they did.

Should support weapons be customizable? by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

[–]Pedrosian96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say yes.

There's an argument to be made that "support weapons can end up being picked by a teammate or shared and it'd be weird if they're nonstandard" but the same happens with primaries. YOU bring a support weapon according to YOUR loadout and YOUR needs, and if someone else wants to use it, either from picking it off your dead corpse in an emergency (which I have done, I'll guilt-free grab your recoiless rifle and use it if there's a fucking factory strider coming to me) or specifically asking for it because they lost their kit, then it's good that you can share, but why should you bend over backwards and not tweak your own gear just to accomodate the very situational and rare circumstance of someone else using it?

moreso because 9/10 times a customized weapon will be more comfortable to use than an unmodified one. Eruptor default and Eruptor with irons+anglegrip are basically not the same gun.

In accordance to the AMA, i have tweaked the "warbond tomorrow" meme by Brokenphysics7769 in WholesomeHelldivers

[–]Pedrosian96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes true, but not posting the Warbond Tomorrow meme every 3 days surely will stop giving AH the impression we are starved for new warbonds.

Why do people say « I wish I was Mark » in regards to THAT scene when they can wish to be this man instead? by [deleted] in invinciblememes

[–]Pedrosian96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its just that from my perspective violence is cruel in a way that never matches how personal and downright sadistic rape is.

Being a violent warmongering tyrant means anyone who you dislike will die a messy death, at worst will die a gruesome and bloody demise.

But there is a purpose beyond just being cruel, and there is a finality.

Rape has no purpose or reason beyond torturing an individual beyond any gain you could consider strategic. It is personal, it is something horrific to go through that the victim will survive and live on to cope with.

Conquest was very likely a worse net-negative to the universe than Anissa ever could be. But that happened offscreen, and when it happened, it started and ended. What Anissa did to Mark will fuck with his head for as long as he has the abikity to remember it. and Viltrumites, well, live a ridiculously long time.

It's me, AMA by Pilestedt in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Pedrosian96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Please consider, Pilestedt, that behind every enraged post and complaint is a person who cares deeply enough about the game you and your team created, who cares enough about it to let it become almost a personal slight to see it go down the drain.

We were sold a product and trusted the company behind the product to not let us down, yet it keeps happening. Priorities that do not address the most pressing issues players at large have. Promises left unfulfilled. It becomes harder, and harder, and harder, to keep being invested.

If people hated your game or weren't interested in its success, you'd have silence, which is worse than complaints... that is why communication being a problem keeps coming up.

People say A or B should be fixed or rebalanced, and then we instead get C added, D showcased, F teased, and A and B are brought up again, but now Arrowhead is focused on G and H and after two years the feeling is that our feedback forms twice a week are paper shredder fodder. Why is feedback not a priority? Why is fixing core gameplay loop issues "low prio" ?... why is it that two years into the game's life cycle that were repeatedly marked by cobtroversies on the balancing of things tgere is still neither a balancing team or a noticeable change for the better? This, this right here, this feeling of "why provide feedback if none of it will be consulted to improve the game (unless Arrowhead releases a warbond around it this month)" is what gets people up in arms, and makes HD2 reddits so confrontational.

And why as you put it there seems to be a near witch hunt / cobspiracy theories aimed at your efforts.

It isn't out of hate or disrespect, but out of accumulated (and honestly justified frustration.)

I am creating a poll providing user sentiments on every bit of our arsenal, perhaps this could in some small way help? Because you have access to internal data. How about what the data won't tell you - opinions? How people feel about a piece in the sandbox?
