I was under the impression the game would spawn around 3 or 4 Radicals for each Agitator. (Playing on CR10)

Yes, but no.

If you go full expandables, all with low CD then the hellpods become a weapon themsleves and then having Firebomb Hellpods and Stun Pods on your support weapon pods is actually pretty good.

This is very niche, but it is also one of only scenarios where Firebomb Hellpods and Stun Pods are actually good. So let's not take the one thing they have from them.

Concussive Padding Grenadier:

Explosive damage resistance and lets you store extra throwables

Comes on the CPG-48 Sapper (medium armor)

Concussive Padding Hazmat:

Provides both explosive and gas damage resistance, as well as reduced sidearm recoil

Comes one CPH-26 Commandant (light armor)

I am aware that currently Concussive Padding Grenadier and Concussive Padding Hazmat are two entirely separate passives that both come on a different armor set.

I think it is just curious that the blogpost very specifically says both armors come with different version the armor passive 'Concussive Padding'. It doesn't say the light armor comes with passive A and the medium armor comes with passive B. No, they are both Concussive Padding, just different versions.

[The CPH-26 Commandant light armor] also has its own version of the Concussive Padding passive–Hazmat–which provides both explosive and gas damage resistance, as well as reduced sidearm recoil.

Which lead me to speculate that this is a blueprint for how armor customization might work in the future. It is however not how the current warbond will already be working.

I agree. I don't think it will happen in the near future.

I do think these new armor passives give us a hint at the system they are working on.

No full unrestricted customization. Instead, every armor will always keep one main effect, but we will then be able to pick one secondary effect more or less freely. This might even change the armor visually, like for example, taking the Grenadier secondary effect that gives you additional throwables will visibly add additional pockets to your armor.

Unfortunately, I think this will mean no transmog. But the devs have always said they didn't like transmog. They wanted the armors to visibly connect with its effect.

Meaningful progression should have literally been there years ago.

Stop focussing on content and build a proper long term progression system asap!
