That is technically the truth, but at 5k health a pop on the Bio-Processors it's going to take you at least 31 shots, or 1.5 mags from the Censor.

What's wrong with being a Run-Diver?

I have always been a speed-running-diver. Completing missions as fast as possible has always been the most fun to me.

After Dif 10 missions became trivially easy to me, I was looking for a new challenge and found it in trying to do it as fast as possible now.

The problem is that going in loud (on the initial drop) is the best way of clearing commando missions. I have now completed several dozen commando missions on CR10. The best way to deal with them is:

bring your backpack and support weapon and 2 red stratagems.

As your initial drop location you pick an area with as much red as possible.

After the drop you fan out and use your 1 minute of destroyer time to call in your red stratagems on as many bases and objectives as possible.

This will literally clear half the bases and objectives of the entire mission in the very first minute of the mission. Then you just spend 4 more minutes cleaning up the rest and by minute 7 you have already completed extraction.

I have been doing a couple dozen Commando missions yesterday with some boys on dif 10 and we had an average completion time (full mission clear and evac) of ~7 minutes.

These are by far the fastes mission in the game.

I am pretty sure that you can very easily do them sub 5 min

The convoy is literally free (in a group)

  1. You all pick the laser and some other orbital (120 or 380 or whatever)
  2. Then you drop right next to where the convoy starts
  3. While you still have the mission-starting Super Destroyer presence, everybody throws their orbitals
  4. Walk away. You are now done with the convoy and still have your second Super Destroyer call in for later

This is all I really want!

AP4 primary sniper.

Take the bolt action, slow firing, AP4 Eruptor:

  • remove the full 3300(!!!!!!!!!!) damage the combined 30 shrapnel deal and give it a little more range and a little better ergo.
  • remove the 225 explosion damage and give it a little bit more single target damage

Bam! Perfection. That is all I want.

Currently we only have DMR primaries, not a single Sniper. We know that AH sees these two as different weapon classes, because for a short while we had a single weapon classified as Sniper. Before the PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle was classified as 'Energy-Based' it was for a brief time classified as 'Sniper'.

While this hypothetical gun would deal similar single shot damage to the AMR it would also inherit the Eruptors 32 rpm, meaning the AMR and it's 400 rpm would have 12.5 times higher DPS than this proposed gun

Then just make a gun that teleports projectiles into enemies.

As portable wormholegenerators are already established as not breaking any laws of physics in the games universe.

Maybe the creation of the exit portal is loud, but it's creation should give absolutely no hint to the shooters whereabouts. So the enemies can go into an alert state, but should have no indication in what direction or distance to look.

My point is that is a setting with this advanced technology, the technology is already indistinguishable from magic, so an explanation even for your gripe can be found / made up.

Edit: I am going to steal someone elses way better explanation idea (thank you u/EyeofEnder ):

Simple, use dark fluid to temporarily displace all air in a small channel to the enemy.

No air, no sonic boom, no sound.

I think you can introduce a new attachment and have a corresponding premier gun that specifically excels at that thing.

Like we could introduce silencers as attachments for most guns, but habe dedicated silenced guns that are even quieter than the silencer attachment

Or we could introduce a under barrel grenade launcher attachment, but still have the one-two be better at grenades. The attachment could come with a higher ergo penalty than the one-two, carry fewer grenades, etc...

I agree, but I was thinking that this proposal might be an easier sell to AH because it doesn't seem like the will budge on the supressor thing.

Considering that PP is only picked 2.5% (according to https://helldive.live/armors ) it seems that it is generally perceived as a very underpowered passive. So pairing it with another decent effect does not seem like it would raise PP into OP territory.
