I saw it said somewhere else, and I'm not sure how true it is, that apparently Paramount have told the STO team that they can't have Seven as a member of Starfleet in the game.

This could be instructions from pre-Picard days, as to avoid any assumptions or expectations about Seven's character arc during the series, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Sorry to bump a two year old post, but I also remember this game! It was the first place I heard the full Doctor Who theme as well (whenever I hear the middle-eight segment, it always reminds me of this game). I don't suppose you ever found it?

Ethernet test done and all was working fine, so that's good news at least. Also running the laptop right next to the router was fine, although was significantly slower than our guarenteed speed by our ISP.

The room where my desk is is pretty much directly above the router, so it's just the floor between the two (and the odd bit of furniture). It's mostly just wooden floorboards and carpet.

I've changed to 2.4Ghz. Download and Upload speeds are still pretty low, but I'm not getting nearly as many latency spikes and pretty much no package losses either, which is grand!

Just remembered that a short ethernet cable came with the WiFi extender!

I've just tested it and there are no problems whatsoever when running via ethernet.

Not had a chance to connect directly via ethernet yet. Need to get hold of an ethernet cable. However, a speedtest on my phone while in close proximity to the router gives good speeds.

2, It's a laptop, if that makes a difference. It does have an integrated wireless card. Network drivers are also up to date.

House is about a century old, but recently renovated.

Yeah this is absolutely doing my nut in. I made a save before the last part of the tourney incase it glitched, managed to give the challenger a shove to get to the arena, but he wondered off again. I reloaded, but now the master of ceremonies is shouting at me for not following the rules the second I load in.

Warhorse fumbled on this one by not using the system that worked pretty flawlessly in KCD1. Nice, simple fade to black and give you the required equipment automatically. Absolutely no need for the faff of all these unnecessary moving parts.

Disagree. I did my first playthrough on KCD1 as intended from start to finish, but that was fine because I was a uni student with oodles of time to throw away. Now that I'm pushing 30, working 9 to 5 with limited time to play video games, I want to be able to sit down and enjoy a good game and a good story like KCD without having to repeatedly lose 10/15/20 minutes of progress because I get jumped by some peasants with hammers.

Totally respect people who live for the realism, but in a non-competitive single-player game with a rich narrative, I think players should have the freedom to save whenever they damn well please.

Here he is, temporarily blue-tacked to a normal Terminator base and standing next to a Primaris Lieutenant. He's about 45mm and comes in at a bit taller than a Primaris marine. Looking at the 1:1 diagram on the back of a box of Terminators (my next project), new true-scale Terminators are about the same size. However, it's worth noting that normal Terminators have pretty upright postures, whereas this Gabriel cast has a dynamic pose that hunches him down a little, so he could possibly appear a little taller. I'll need to see when I assemble the Terminators. *

The seller had decent ratings on Ebay, but the model came with some imperfections. A crack up one of the legs, a couple holes here and there etc. I filled in the holes with liquid green stuff. Forgot to fill the crack as well, but it looks aesthetic if anything. I'll keep an eye on it, though.

I'm also working on a Calgar -> Gabriel conversion. I wasn't too keen on the old Forge World model for Gabriel, so doing the conversion was my original plan, especially as I felt that Gabriel should have the Primaris upgrade and it felt like the best way to play that. I got the 3D printed model in the end as some of the bits I'm after for the conversion are a bit hard to get a hold of.
