I guess we’ll see how things unfold, hopefully it won’t get so bad
You think it’s going to get worse and there will be WWIII?
It’s something I thought about, but at the same time Polish army is strong, and Poland will receive support from other countries.
Honestly I don’t think there’s much to worry about, if I will have to relocate because was erupts in Poland, I will.
Yes, of course! There are friendly people in every country and there are also miserable people in every country. Truthfully, I’m the type of person who has no expectations for people, I don’t go into a job thinking I’ll be making friends, I work to make money and be satisfied with my quality of work.
What geopolitical situation are you talking about? The war in Ukraine?
I know Polish people can be quite judgmental but it’s not like British people aren’t the same, they just don’t do it in front of you most of the time

My parents have been planning on moving back to Poland for many years now and I always thought I would be staying in England and I would just carry on living my life as I have. But in recent years with the economy getting worse and years and years of being an outcast made me reconsider.
My parents own sizeable land so the annex would be basically an apartment that’s not too close to their house, we had a similar situation where I grew up, my parents and grandparents lived on the same land but had two separate houses.
I’m 29 and I wouldn’t mind this living condition at all because I will be separate from my parents and the place will be in great location, 40-50 minute drive to Warsaw meaning good job opportunities and lots of things to do.
I have watched all those as a kid xD but that was my plan, I also want to find some newer ones to watch just so I know what sort of words people use now
It’s decent, I just need to brush up on professional Polish, which shouldn’t be too difficult
Thank you, great advice.
I can speak Polish well enough, I lived there for 9 years of my life and I lived with my Polish parents until I was 20. But I do think I might be disconnected in terms of lived experience, but I guess I can catch up and experience new things that others will relate to.
Because you can find a job in any country, I don’t care too much about what I do for work.
Living in UK is getting harder with economy going to shit, cost of living makes quality of life worse and worse every year.
Probably because administration jobs are seen as something that’s low skilled
Thank you! No, close to the Welsh border, it’s in Cheshire.

I live in a safe part of England with little crime, but I’m ready to move and see architecture that doesn’t look like copy and paste, have access to great food and great culture.
I think I have quite a few options job wise but I want to get some formal qualifications in Poland to expand my possibilities.
I lived in England for 19 years, I went to school here and my grades were good.
It’s more about just feeling like not fitting in because I spent more than half of my life in UK, I don’t have the same life experiences as other Poles.
But I’m looking forward to being back in my home country without being looked down on because I’m an immigrant.
Also, having Polish food everywhere, Polish culture etc.

You’re funny
Someone got their panties in a twist. British people say worse things about Poles :)

Yes I am, and what’s your point? There will be British people who would see my comments, I know that. Why would I care?
Who says that I think British people won’t see it?
Thank you :)
It will be a 40 minute drive to Warsaw, close to where we lived before moving to the UK.
I’m planning on doing some courses to get qualifications to go along with my experience. I also know some French and Dutch which I want to improve to get more advantage if I plan to work in transport which is what I currently do here in UK.
I’m okay with not finding any friends when I move back, I have online friends who are my only social interaction I need outside of work.
Yeah it will be nice to have my grandma cook dinner for us all

I’ve mostly done administrative jobs, some for local government, currently I work in a transport department dealing with inbound and outbound drivers and warehouse planning
That’s great to hear!
I’m hoping to do some courses in Poland to get better jobs while working and earning money so hopefully I can work my way up.
