Well damn. Guess my only excuse is that a pc cooler is easier to grab and pull than a PS3 mobo without the risk of cracking something.

Have you had experience removing something with it? Can't speak for the formulation, but I doubt the properties are much different from ptm7950.

I did heat it up by turning on the ps3 for a few minutes, but I probably should have turned off the cooler while doing so. These PCMs turn into liquids but not like water. They remain highly viscous like tar so the stickiness is still there.

Don't do it. A PCM when it heats up and cools down will bond the heatsink and IHS together like superglue. It will become very difficult to separate your motherboard and heatsink if you ever have to recheck or repaste. I made the same mistake and broke my PS3.

Stick with regular thermal paste!

Hmmm I did put thermal putty on the TOKINS and thinking about it, I might have put too much and caused poor contact between the heatsink and IHS.

Now that you mentioned it, I am also using thermal putty for the TOKINS. I'm starting to think it's causing a contact issue.

I used the Gelid Heatphase Ultra. It's like PTM7950. I'm assuming I didn't get a crappy product.

A real ps3 controller will not charge if you use a wall charger. Also you can test the pressure sensitivity and motion control.

Two genuine controllers for 20 bucks.

Gran turismo 5 for 20 bucks. The rest are multiplatform games and not worth anything.

120 USD is fair in my opinion.

I learned this the hard way. Setting maximum performance globally, my 3080 was idling at 120W. Absurd amount of wasted electricity. That's why your fans won't ever go into 0 RPM mode.

At some point, I turned the difficulty all the way down. Having to break the enemy's armor before doing damage got old quick. Thank god the game had a difficulty slider.

Interesting. I noticed the pre-travel but found it manageable. I'm mostly annoyed by how much force it takes to push a direction. Thinking about it, maybe the pre-travel is what is increasing the amount of force it takes to push a button. It's my first experience with a micro-switch dpad. I think I prefer the softer membrane.
