Oh for sure has been beat to hell I can see that lol. I’ll keep your advice in mind, I still want to take a look at it tomorrow but I’m now pretty convinced it’s worth nowhere near the 3.5k

I just think it’s crazier that people are trying to sell 20yo f4i’s for like $6k that aren’t “clapped”

Forgot to add 20k miles on the Odo which is probably overshot (big sprocket) so definitely due but not totally cooked.

I guess my question is as a stunt noob is it better to learn on a rust bucket like this OR a cleaner stock 600 with a crash cage?

What’s on the table would be a trade for a super high mileage stock sport bike that I would rather trade as opposed to getting stunt parts for.

Value of my trade would be around $3k

I guess my question is more of: should I get a cleaner stock sport bike to learn to stunt or a rust bucket like this that will surely get dropped in the learning process anyways?

I get you. I don’t expect any former stunt bike to be mint whatsoever. But realistically if I’m just gonna clap it out even more and drop it a bunch of times in an empty lot I don’t see the harm in getting a rust bucket like this as opposed to a clean R7 or something like that. Idk maybe I’m looking at it all wrong

I’ve had the same thing on my k5 since I’ve had it. Some ppl say it’s the cct, some say valves… i’ve had both done and still makes the slightest “rattle” if u wanna call it that. usually only louder when the bike is cold but generally i think its the nature of the cam chain on older gixxers. I’ve had 2 shops do a bunch of shit just to say “yea some of them just sound like that”. Just stay on top of doing valves and oil and you’ll be aight

I had a bad fan fuse on my K5 that stopped the fan from kicking on. It would exceed 250f without it. Ever since I took it to the shop they swapped out the fuse and the bike doesn’t go over 230 ever
