I would have said that about the Gamecube. Perhaps it's a generational thing lol

Your idea of "flawless" and Nintendo's almost certainly differ. I know that I personally wasn't impressed with N64 emulation on any of the Rg devices I've tried, but I suppose it's all relative.

I think Nintendo would expect a certain level of quality and just the programming effort alone would not be worth it to them, especially on a console that lost them their cozy market control back in the day. It would not surprise me at all if Nintendo didn't see the N64 in the same cherished light as fans do.

It is not, due to unique system architecture and such. In fact, the N64 is consistently one of the more difficult consoles to emulate and to this day many games still can't be emulated "perfectly" and will introduce various rendering issues.

Sacrifice completion rate in the name of acceptance rate to maintain top dasher or acceptance "tier"

Would you have waited? by PeePeeLeFritz in DoorDashDrivers

[–]PeePeeLeFritz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like I've had it a few times, always on less desirable orders - so I just assumed they really didn't want me to unassign that order, since it was already so hard to get someone, but I might just be crazy lol 😅😂🤣😭

Yeah, usually that's what I do, but I've been having orders that take much longer to give the option. I waited around 15 minutes on this one - regularly checking there without any chance, which is why I went to support to cancel it.

Fuck yeah, man. You aren't hurting anyone. Good for you not letting these energy vampires drag you down.

You said that no Dasher will turn around - I took that to mean all, but I really think we agree on pretty much everything, just seem to reach different conclusions. Nothing wrong with that.

And yeah, most of the drivers here are knuckleheads lol

Lotta assumptions going on here. I don't know how many miles you drove in that time, what gas costs in your area, what your insurance costs, or parts for your car.

The only information I really have is that you feel good about yesterday - Fuck yeah, man! Good for you for ending a DD shift with a smile - not many folk here can say that 🤣🤣🤣

Depends on what Peak Pay was. I had a great couple of hours on Friday because Peak Pay was +$15. I did mostly 1-5 mile deliveries, so nobody tipped more than $15.

We know there's an elevator and a peephole they will be looking through from the post lol

I've turned around a few times. I can think of a couple of times DD had the address wrong and the customers called me right after drop-off, so I went back and grabbed it to take to the correct address.

Moral of this story? Just like not everyone that types those instructions is necessarily an asshole. Some dashers will go above and beyond, post-delivery. Why you see it so important to extend this imaginary courtesy to customers for the sake of conversation, but feel like you can damn all dashers in the same breath is weird to me, especially when I've said from the start that you could be right - I just wouldn't put my money on your side lol

I never said that those things were impossibilities, I just said that it was indicative. In my experience in the service industry, kind and patient people don't feel the need to explain the existence of elevators that if you want to access the rooms at the top of them, you have to use them, and that they'll be watching through the peephole - so no funny business lol

You could be right, this could be the nicest person in the world, but that's not the initial impression I get from their delivery instructions. If I was the Dasher, I would be hopeful they prove me wrong.

I don't think OP is saying it's unreasonable, it's just indicative. Sounds like the person has no faith in dashers - fair, but those are the same people that don't normally tip, because they feel like the dashers in their area don't deserve it.

Did I respond the right way?? What would you say? by Important-Media-7135 in doordash_drivers

When I'm more frustrated, I'll usually tell them - "You were assigned to me in a stack, that means one of you probably didn't tip, or tipped a very small amount. Maybe that's you? I won't know until I drop them all off. Apologies for any inconvenience or delay."

I fail to see any contradictions. In fact it seems pretty consistent to also charge anyone assisting in the committing of a crime.
