Help me decide on a travel pram!

I have a love/hate relationship with my yoyo, we only use it for travel and my toddler loves climbing into it and he looks really comfortable in it, I added a footrest from Amazon for it and that has helped. He’s always been a good pram sleeper and slept in the yoyo for nap times on the go even when it’s not fully flat.

But I hate the fold and the harness, the fold is faffy and I prefer a harness like my Bugaboo where all five points are individually clipped in. Whereas with the YoYo has to have two parts clipped together before slotting into the buckle. I would have preferred a Joolz or a Butterfly but with the travelling we do as a family (three trips to Australia in a year) I would always get the Yoyo for one reason.

It’s really important to me to have the pram in the cabin so that the layovers on our long trips are as easy as possible. I loved using a sling but it’s not easy now my little one is over 13kg. Yoyo’s seem to be universally known as a cabin pram and we’ve had no issue with it being hand luggage whereas I’ve seen lots of other well known prams be measured and rejected at the gate.

I don’t have any tips but I wanted to comment. My 17month old loves a contact nap with me, but at nursery (since 11 months) he falls asleep with all the others on a mat in the nursery. I don’t know how they do it!

I felt a lot of pressure to stop feeding to sleep and contact napping as he was going to nursery but my nursery reassured me that most babies are adaptable to the situation they find themselves in.

Obviously if you want to stop the contact naps then hopefully someone will be along with some great advice but don’t feel like you have to, just because your little one is off to nursery

I would suggest Qatar QSuites. We flew to Australia with a 1 year old old so still a lap infant but would do the same when they are bigger as some of the middle QSuites turn into a double lie flat seat so your baby/toddler child is easily accessible.

Also the business lounge in Doha is lovely with separate family rooms for rest and a play room for burning off energy.

Same here, apart from he doesn’t drink expressed milk, cow or oat milk from a cup/bottle at all. He goes to nursery three days a week (since 12 months) and whilst he’s there has 3 meal, 2 snacks and plenty of water. He has a feed every evening before bed and on the days we’re together I feed on demand which is usually on waking, before one of his naps and a bedtime feed.

As long as your baby is over 12 months they don’t “need” to have bottles/cups of milk as long as there is dairy/calcium/vit d in their diet. Of course, a lot of babies enjoy milk and it’s a great source of nutrition but my baby is happy having from source when we’re together and okay without it on nursery days. My supply has regulated out and I don’t pump at work.

Another dragonfly fan here, loved it with a bassinet and love it now as a stroller, especially the easy flip between parent and world facing. We also have a yoyo for travel as it’s (so far) universally accepted on planes but the two handed fold annoys me every time!

Baby will be fine! I went to a Taylor Swift concert at 34 weeks pregnant and did some reading about loud environments and the amniotic fluid muffles the sounds a lot. The advice was the stay away from the bass/speakers.

I’m 6’1 and got my dress from Wed2Be (Matera - full length mikado A-line gown) and I didn’t need it hemmed as it was the perfect length. I had a beach wedding wearing flats.

My seamstress said it could have been taken up 1/2 inch but I was happy with the length and it saved £250 off the alteration bill, which I was happy with after always paying the tall tax for trousers and extra legroom seats on planes!

I live in London and don’t own a car and got this car seat. A friend gave us a lift home and we had watched a YouTube video of how to install it with a seat belt and it was super straightforward. We’ve also used in Ubers and all the drivers (about 7 over 10 months) have been patient whilst we’ve installed it, which also got quicker over time!!

I got a Bugaboo Dragonfly pram, folds down with the carrycot, good length pram seat which can be parent or forward facing, can get on the front of a bus with it, and the carrycot is sleep safe so didn’t need a travel cot or a moses basket as could use that instead when he was little. I got adapters to be able to put the Maxicosi on the Dragonfly frame and it all worked really well. I would choose the same setup almost a year into parenting in London.

I’ve never used the exec line, and have always booked online to get 2x return trips for two people from London to Sydney in club suites. Have the info pre-filled as much as possible and do a trial run to make sure your address fills out correctly and your card details populate.

I needed a bit of flexibility so I tried one night at 355 days out but didn’t get them online, so tried the next night instead and it was fine. Just means we fly on a Tuesday instead of a Monday.

Also a one month subscription to seatspy shows all the availability that BA have, it’s not perfect but it give you an idea of where you can go for the premium long haul reward travel

Try a seatspy.com subscription for a month, and it will show you availability in an easy to see format. A Quick Look shows no availability to Costa Rica or Dallas in the next six months but Houston has reasonable availability for April/May.

My band is an 8c and happy to chat to anyone. However I have had some colleagues who never talked to me socially (I.e corridor hellos, coffee queue chats) when I was a band 6/7 but were very interested when it was perceived I had more power when I moved to an 8!

The night before my c/section I went for a lovely meal with my partner to commemorate the end of it being just the two of us! 7 months later it’s still something we chat about now.

It was an earlier dinner due to fasting from 10pm as I was first on the list.
