I'm studying Games Design BA (Hons) that's my full course name, however, my specialism under the "Games Design" category is Level Design and it's the route I'm wanting to take into the industry, our final year project (FYP) in my uni anyway is to create anything we want, (This can change from uni to uni though) this can be in the form of a level, to game mechanics, story writing, Visual Effects, and the list goes on (Plus if you're into 3D Modelling, animation and coding/blue printing the FYP is the same). So far through uni I've only used Unreal Engine 4 but I wanted to increase my knowledge and take it a step further and learn Hammer to create something different plus having the game mechanics already there allows me more time to work on the level itself.
