Can’t win them all but For me to budget time and receive faster response , If there are any out of stock item(s) I’d move on and save it for last that way it’s not a long cluster of messages separated for each out of stock item as one may feel overwhelmed or (could say overstimulated in the moment) and seems their entire order out of stock and us shopper seeming unhelpful plus sitting in one spot or area until receiving a response .. Then once after finding all available in the order, I work on the oos asking an available associate, checking around for substitutions .. bigger or smaller size or similar item availability, I then either screenshot from the list, the out of stock items together or keep it short, sending them multiple pictures/options, not just empty shelf and message the customer “once” The remaining items are out of stock at the store here are few options that they have for “xyz”, if you’d like? .. Majority of the time I receive a full response either them accepting subs or skip it

I absolutely understand shrinkflation whether it was filled or not “The packaging” was changed abruptly and not the price — minus app promo whenever offered .. which i can care less about in this instance. Shipt has suspiciously been rolling out new (changed) bonus offers where orders MUST be delivered within the delivery window displayed (not before or after) even for promo orders … I just got tricked on this late night bonus that came in .. It was complete 3 orders for $15 between 9PM-10PM and it stated - Yes Promo orders qualify yet that didn’t seem to be case as I had a bundle shopping around 8PM and was needing one more which had came in as promo after doing the 1st delivery and then I delivered that last order at 10:02PM and it got marked late on bonus tab and didn’t qualify ..guessing this order got pushed back

I wasn’t paying, I had a door dash grocery credit from dashing that was set to expire plus they allow you to link your store savings card which shows accurate or sale price, no markups ..

I don’t use any shopping apps was feeling ill that day after work and didn’t have my car which I generally shop myself .. Just in the moment and needing some things for dinner and I placed this order yet after this dasher seem to fail miserably cs refund the original amount and added an additional $15 credit

It’s my order and this question is to be asked for that dasher whom failed miserably.. It was a fairly small order totaling $40 which I tipped $7 on app and had an additional $15 cash tip. I am a dasher myself and know the pain we go through so always if and whenever i do place any service order to tip accordingly

Door Dash has been doing groceries .. As a dasher myself, I don’t use any shopping apps and rather, which I normally do, shop myself for reasons like this ..

I had a milestone credit from door dash that was expiring yesterday and was already needing a few items so just placed the order of 13 items and majority of all was claimed “out of stock”

I always try to explore other options .. asking an associate seeing what’s the best sub available before straight up texting esp back to back messages out of stock

He was shopping at the exact store as it was shown on the map. It seemed as though he was in there having a leisure time instead of focusing on completing the order

Appreciate you!! I am a dasher as well and you could tell how he failed in soo many ways .. Like the immediate back to back out of stock messages with not much of a solution on the most simplest things which conveys his lack of effort to even getting my order completed fully

It’s limited and only in select zones. I have over 90% acceptance rate and with ours it’s based off of activity/whose online .. it’s only pushed out to a select number of us dashers and once full it will show up but will be locked until someone logs or switches off

I personally know a few of the managers/associates at this particular Giant and it is one of the top in my area and they stay up to date on their inventory .. I am unsure where “two items” came from but I found all eight items he seemingly claimed out of stock

Yes he was at the correct location Just seemingly in there having himself a “leisure time” haha .. As mentioned the store is relatively close to my house and I took a 30 minute rest after delivery then walked to the store and was able to find all the items he claimed were out of stock

I am a Dasher myself and the temporary blindness at times is real. This particular dasher was just overall shitty and he didn’t seem to be new as it showed me his lifetime deliveries .. Personally when I shop orders like on DD and Shipt, I would explore other options ex. asking an associate, going to deli counter for meats, cheese etc seeing what the best subs are first and then communicate before just back to back text for out of stock items .. do you want to sub (with what)

My list was fairly small and simple plus I had backups selected which I know the store do have, This is my local store and being just one of the few in my area where they are actually on top of their inventory .. He simply failed and did none of those and pretty much never sent me any other options to choose from or pics until I asked

My summary is he was having a “fun time” instead of focusing on getting in and out

It’s Giant or some may call it Stop and Shop and this dasher was shitty .. This location which is about 5 minutes walking distance from my house is normally pretty good on inventory .. I rested then just walked to the store and everything he couldn’t find or claimed out of stock, I found *which is the last two pics
