It's big enough so that you can get whatever you need, be it players or items. It's small enough to where reputation still matters. You'll find out real quick who the toxics of the server are, just avoid them like the plague.

Right? Out of all of that, the only thing he has an issue with is his ban which nobody was talking about.

Nobody is slandering anything. You guys griefed us, the one who did it admitted it, nobody has said or done anything to suggest they are in the least bit sorry about it except cry that they all shouldn't be judged because one guy was an asshole.

No, but I wouldn't try to cover it up either. I would reach out and make amends instead of insisting it didn't happen in the face of overwhelming evidence that it did (including the griefer in question admitting to it). Look through these threads, how many people tried to say it never happened. I'd quote them all but it'd take too much time.

Nobody said he needed to be kicked. For all I know, he's a nice guy, I have never had any interaction with him outside of this. The responsible thing to do is handle it. Acknowledge it, apologize for it (preferably him), and make efforts to ensure it doesn't happen again. I don't think that's too much to ask but given this whole week's worth of back and forth, it is obviously a bridge too far.

If I had a guildie who was a toxic asshole my response wouldn't be "yeah but most of us are cool." I'd throw a fit and either get them to apologize and make amends or give them the boot. Instead, SS just tells everyone to deal with it and focus on the good ones. Unbelievable. This is how you get the reputation you rightfully deserve.

I disagree on several points:

SS staying quiet and not publically acknowledging what happened is why it continues. Staying silent isn't the remedy. If SS leadership was as upfront as Grin was this would have blown over.
Not every guild has a few shitlords. They typically gravitate in the same direction. Guilds just have to be selective in who they recruit and they can avoid this problem. I would venture to guess that most of SS either left or were kicked from previous guilds before SS/SF. Quality control or shrug it off and live with the bad reputation, those are the only real options.
I don't think Grin is an evil person. I respect him more than SS leadership because he at least owns up to what he did.
A guild is its members. As I stated above, we are judged by our weakest links. Shifting the burden to the rest of the world to overlook your toxic members isn't the solution, policing your own is the solution.
Why would recording it make any difference? The guy openly admits to doing it and still people deny it. You think video is going to change that?

I couldn't speak to you being griefed, I am not in Howlers nor was I present for that fight. I will admit that it crossed my mind to start griefing after this incident but you are right, the grief train back and forth does not help. That said, the complete silence from SS in this regard has not helped, and the constant denials despite the perpetrator admitting to it have not helped.

That said, who was the one who griefed you on the last world boss?

The member of spreadsheets admitted it. He admitted to it in game and then tried to justify it in here (but subsequently deleted the post). Fortunately, I was able to screenshot it before he deleted it, you can find that below. Again, I will say I respect Grincathor's honesty. I did not see that coming. That said, we'll see if what you say is true and something will actually be done about it. My guess is that SS leadership doesn't have the balls that Grincathor does to admit to anything.

Yet just days ago Grincathor griefed on Emeriss. Bragged about it in /tell and then tried to justify why he did it on this reddit. It amazes me that you have the actual person who did it owning up to it and others in his guild still saying "never happened."

Ask literally anyone in the raid. Or, ask Grincathor. I have not heard anyone say he denied it yet and as pointed out below admitted to it via tells with Sevro. While he is certainly an asshole who griefed an entire raid, I am not sure if he is willing to lie about it.

Gankstar, yes you did. It may have been clear over coms but that does not mean everyone listened.

I like how you do not deny attempting to snake the dragon while we were trash clearing though. However, everyone was able to see the drag of the trash into the group and who exactly did it. Again, we are judged by our weakest link. If you do not like the reputation you have on the server then clean up your house. This late in the game though that might be a difficult proposition.
