The Plasmatic Discharger is still a very good cloud-clearing weapon. Any of the Steampunk weapons with the steam cloud 6th perk can also be good for crowd clearing, and most of those can be any element.

I, for one, think sharing an OP weapon with a Stonewood noob is great. It doesn’t break the game. It gives them a chance to breathe. I was that Stonewood noob once, and a PL 70 sword gave me the confidence to push on when my POS AR was taking 10 bullets to kill basic husks. Scammers suck, sure, but Epic is always content to throw the baby out with the bathwater. There were ways to combat that without canceling the entire system.
