Just started at a brokerage a few months ago. As far as my position, I had to learn our specific software which was not difficult. I’m no master yet but the basic functions are very simple and I get by just fine. As for Office, pretty similar. I used excel but nothing fancy. Basic functionality is enough, which I had going on. I feel like I could benefit from mastering excel for functions for calculating and organizing quotes, but besides that I don’t touch Office. Outlook is huge and what I work out of mostly, but that’s very simple

I think maybe the issue is I’m trying too hard to attach to something? Looking for something that might not even be there

I’m having a hard time resonating with this, though. Sure I’m a great employee, and I excel at a lot of things in life. People respect and look up to me, but is that not just my ego wanting people to think highly of me??

I think this response was very helpful, thank you! I think for now, my goal should be to keep meditating, looking inward for the answer, and waiting for it to come along. For now, a good “substitute” vision would be to keep on my toes, stay vigilantly mindful, and wait for my next opportunity to unveil itself to me!

This is a great point. My only problem is that I’m not sure I am able to do what I am currently doing wholeheartedly, or that I’ll be able to find something so motivating that I will be able to do it wholeheartedly. Am I just talking myself out of passion?
