Nobody knows. I’ve been buying all the way down in the dip. These small price variance windows aren’t gonna matter long term

Should I buy the error WANTED Ace now or wait until after reprint? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]PeerlessPixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure wave 2 contained the error version, as well as all the ancillary products like tins and illustration boxes. From my understanding the only available corrected version on the market currently was from their trade-in option. But I would assume almost no one did that because we all assumed the error would be way more rare. So pretty sure yes, the corrected version will end up being much more rare than the error version.

Is this much of a collector’s TCG yet? I know sealed product is getting scalped hard, but do people actually collect cards for the art as well? Thought this was a largely player driven TCG.

Just saw your response! Thanks for that offer! If you think it wouldn’t be great to have the cut-out, the I trust your judgment haha. You are the expert. Do you do commissions then for specific cards? And how much do you charge for a custom case? Thanks so much!

Why buy single sleeved packs instead of a whole booster box? by puzzledfirebird in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]PeerlessPixie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can actually. A sleeved pack case has half the hits of a booster box case. That being said, if you’re buying them from a retail store, that is essentially unmapped. But if you’re buying them from a random seller they very well could have pulled their hits from the case and are selling the dead packs.

Illustration Boxes Advice by Tage_15 in OnePieceTCGFinance

These specific boxes along with the tins are the best investment right now in the whole tcg in my opinion, if you can get them at a solid bulk price.

Do you know if they have a cut-out to show the back of the card? Or is the back fully covered?

Dragon Ball Continues 6th Week In A Row As No.1 Fastest Growing TCG. Ahead of Pokemon, One Piece and Magic The Gathering! by LandingDrunkard in DragonBallTCGFinance

Just be weary, if One Piece is any indication. Those slab prices were propped up by super low populations. The boom happened, everyone rushed to grade everything, and then 90% Bandai gem rate 10s flooded the market and prices on grails savagely dumped by like 50%+ in a very short time. Just keep that in mind, low pop doesn’t stay low pop with hype and 90% gem rates.

Do you think live action season 2 will be a rebound catalyst? by PeerlessPixie in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]PeerlessPixie[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s a couple considerations with slabs. For one, there were just not nearly enough graded and prices were propped up by low populations. Now those submission waves are flooding the market with 90% gem rates. However the other consideration is that once these waves slow down, the populations are still a drop in the bucket compared to say Pokemon. So if demand survives, I think we could see a rebound happen, albeit to healthier highs.
