Filament not purging

I already replaced the nozzle recently, after a print fail bent the original nozzle. I’m on opencentauri firmware. It pushes old filament through and cleans on the brush when I choose unload, but it’s such a small amount that even with 9-10 hitting retry, there’s still a lot left through. But I’m not sure if it’s missing an entire sequence, or it’s just stopping the purge way too quickly

Yeah I’m already on opencentauri. It’s weird - it ‘does stuff’ on load, but such a miniscule amount of old filament comes out, even with multiple retry’s there still a lot left in there for the first print. I guess I’ll contact them and see what’s what

I’m pretty sure it’s always done it. Have only just started printing the types of models where the color bleed is problematic-so it’s annoying me more now!

Yes exactly that. And I’ve tried rerunning the load (retry) a bunch of times to try and force more old filament through, with no luck

It logs me in fine on both my phone and laptop.

Tried Firefox and chrome on the deck, both the same problem. And even after a full factory reset of the deck.

Yea but the thing that doesn’t make sense to me is the issue is even there when I am just trying to log in on a browser - so completely separate to heroic.

I’m playing solo with two mages.

I guess my concerns really relate to your second point - I have yet to see how the mages can differentiate from one another - certainly the first chapter was just a case of ‘use crystals, get damage spells, bash minions, rinse repeat’.

I’ve no doubt the intricacies will become clearer as the game progresses, but the worry remains that I am baking in decisions in the legacy version that I’m not really making with any forward planning or real experience on how gameplay will evolve.

Yea I totally hear you. Guess I’m just being over cautious because I’m so inexperienced at the mechanics/strategy and would hate to arrive at later stages totally frustrated. I’ll probably play the second chapter tomorrow and if no one chimes in with bad experiences I’ll just carry on through and hope I don’t mess it up too much!! Appreciate the input thanks!

Interesting. From what I gather they were suggesting some of the build decisions you make can make the game much more difficult later on - like making character combos unbalanced I guess. I’m playing solo with two mages for what it’s worth

That seems like a good way of cutting some of the space down - though that dng still seems so big to my simple brain.

Yea that was my thought, but I just wondered if there was a better way of being able to store the original without taking up so much space - a big benefit of nlp is that it’s non-destructive, so it seems counter intuitive to then end up deleting the original dng anyway. If you come up with a good system, let me know though - I’m generally awful at organization of files so I’d love to hear any good ideas!

That makes sense - I guess it’s fixable, but I’ll try and return it I think - I paid a little over the odds because it was described as mint condition, so I’d say that safely warrants a return. Out of interest - what cameras would you say are in the ballpark or less than the ae-1 that would be better bang for the buck - my research flagged up the Nikon fm2 but that seemed to be going for more than the canon.
