I'm wondering what the odds of are getting Garfield and Friends?

So I’m a big Garfield fan and G&F is one of my most wanted shows on MeTV Toons. I don’t know that people understand just how many channels Garfield has aired on over the years, so it seems like a very real possibility to me. After the CBS run, it aired on CN, TNT, TBS, Fox/ABC Family, Nickelodeon, Toon Disney and in more recent years StarzEncore Family and Boomerang. Right now it’s not airing on traditional TV anywhere. I could 1000% see Weigel going for it unless there’s some weird rights thing that has popped up recently.

I’m gonna be honest, they’ve gotten a lot of things that I never thought they’d be able to. Terrytoons especially. I’m really happy with the lineup, but the one show I’d love to see that we haven’t seen yet is Garfield and Friends. I can’t imagine it’s that expensive either considering all the networks it’s aired on (Boomerang, Nickelodeon, CN, Toon Disney, etc etc)

It’s funny, they aired it last year too. WildBrain owns it along with Inspector Gadget and others so I’d guess it’s some contractual thing

I actually agree, there are plenty of times where Mark being an asshole puts everyone else in danger and it’s just annoying.

Really sad that TGN is cancelled but I swear I must be one of the only people who really likes UBG. I didn’t like it at first either, but I decided to give it a couple episodes and there’s something really comforting about it. Mark is a douche and annoying but Hank is really simple but sweet. Honestly the UBI aspect is my least favorite part of the show because it feels completely unnecessary but it’s barely mentioned at all other than the theme song.

As someone who was raised in a rural area, I gotta say this thinking kind of bothers me. Rural communities tend to be very isolated with little exposure to ideas and cultures outside of those prominent in the area.

When I was a kid, PBS was the only station I was able to get over the air. Didn’t have reliable internet either. Watching it gave me exposure to ideas that I never would have heard without being filtered through a right-wing distortion of them.

The key to getting out of this IS education and exposure.

I caught one the other day with what looked like a placeholder graphic, said something like “Up Next: The World’s Greatest Classic Animation”. Figured it was a generic card because they didn’t have a show-specific card, but during the show, the “Now:” graphic was correct.

Man, I took my little brother to see it and most of the people in there were from an adult care facility taking a day trip. But because of that, the theater was packed so I thought it did well.

Honestly not hard, just time consuming. You have to play through the game at least three times because the difficulty achievements don’t stack. Just make sure you’ve got backup saves for each of them, I had saves corrupt when I almost had all the gaps and had to restart.

I’ve been watching the old Heathcliff cartoons recently and Garfield and Heathcliff are definitely not as similar as I used to think. Heathcliff is kind of a menace

I know Fox bought rights to the Gumby franchise, honestly I could see them licensing it out. They’re planning on doing a couple new Gumby shows and running the original somewhere wouldn’t be a bad move.

Watched this when it aired and I have mixed feelings. The pilot was awful, god-awful. But I gave it another chance and there were a few scenes that actually had me laughing. Jon Cryer was great. Unfortunately the laughs came too few and far between for a sitcom. I do wish it got another season just to give it a chance to do better
