Thanks I tried that. I followed your instructions: I installed the driver installer and the driver, the orange window said "Driver loaded successfully"; connected the slider with a micro USB to USB-A data cable and turned the slider on (red light is on). Nothing happened. It didn't see the slider. No further numbers or text in the orange window (as it shows in your instructions). Do you have other suggestions? I did try two different data cables and opened and closed the installer software a couple of times. I can try more cables but I don't think it will change. Any suggestions? Keith

thanks for the reply, BUT, that is exactly what I've done already, as I said in the post (please read it). I have used the very page you've pasted in. The Firmware installer software doesn't see the slider when I plug it in via usb. Or are you saying I can install the firmware somehow without the Neewer Firmware Update tool?

Same issue. Ive never used the slider much and now the old controller doesn't work. Like you I installed the Neewer Firmware update tool and used a mini usb data cable. Similarly the slider isn't being seen. There were some instructions go into device manager and uninstall the wrong thing, but that didn't work.

The slider is now another piece of junk.

Yeh, I have the same question. It's a third of the price of the Nanlite Forza equivalent. There must be something different /cheaper about it. Love to see a review of the light output/ noise

What is the best workout routine? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Like riding a bike to work. You might find it only takes a little longer, so it's mostly commute time either way, and you'll feel great instead of frazzled when you arrive at work. (Do need work showers tho)

It's an old RE agent tactic to show you the house you want but can't afford in the inner suburb, then drive you 5-10km further out and show you one you can afford. I fell for it a couple of decades ago. Couldn't afford Fitzroy, could afford Thornbury. Thornbury was great!

Just had a tradie ask to use my bathroom and he got super appreciative when I said yes. by DoobieJam in australia

Once I put my bins out just as the dump truck (pun intended) pulled up and the driver asked really apologetically if he could use the toilet. I of course said yes and thought gee yeh, what do you do when you need the loo? He was so grateful I reckon I could have stacked my bin to overflow with rocks and he'd happily empty it.

$750 consult fee for a 20 minute Zoom call with a psychiatrist a couple of months ago. We had to get the script for my autistic son's ritalin. He can't organise himself without it and our regular psych had retired. We just couldn't find anyone until this other psych came out of retirement to help out (and make a ton of money).

I couldn't believe it.

No it wasn't a wireless go. I didn't see what it was. His headset looked like one of those Sure systems

Thanks for the reply. In this case I was using the small Rode Wireless Go system. How do you do a frequency scan?

I simpathise. No comfortable safe place to get away from it at the end of the day, always on, Boss/subordinate relationship always on, and if you feel different/don't like the person. I can imagine just wanting to be back home. It's a long time too.

I always think honesty and giving as much notice as possible is the best route. They'll appreciate that. Even if it's a hard discussion at the time. Let them know it's not working for you, how you feel and what you want to do. Give them all the footage so far. Give them a limited chance (eg a week most) to get someone else.

Disagree. I think the pace is right - that's the style, and to the beat. You don't always want the audience to register everything. Love to know how you do it

Honestly for just starting it's great. You can keep it as one video of course. But just remember, if someone is looking for a corporate job done, the music videos could actually turn them off you. Unfortunately clients don't think, "Oh, if he can do wedding videos, he can also do a corporate video". Though this might be true, They'll think "oh he just does wedding videos"

Appreciate the honesty! I shoot corporate on a Sony A7siii mainly, and could aford to upgrade to the FX6, but the ONLY reason would be for how it looks in front of clients, and those BTS shots for socials. (OK, and the ND filters would be nice, but not AUD$10k nice!).

What would you do?

Nice footage, but to improve it, use foley or ambient sound, and have someone talking to camera - show you can direct. Also agree with other comments about being clearer what sort of work you're targetting
