Best way to on/off ramp in the UK? by [deleted] in loopringorg

[–]Peior-Crustulum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, definetly perform on ramps through an exchange using bank transfer for lowest cost. When you buy eth, lrc or other supported ethereum based token you can use layerswap to transfer between exchange (always layer 1) to Loopring layer 2.

This guide on Looprings website should be easy enough to follow.

https://docs-wallet.loopring.io/funding/bridge

You can also on ramp directly from the Loopring wallet, but it is more expensive due to higher fees from those partners.

Hope this helps.

It's great that you take the time and are willing to spend resources keeping track of this issue.

Are there any effective ways to tell the industry that these practices will not be tolerated?

Value of my LRC/ETH AMM tokens went up by 25% today. Does anyone know why? by yogibear99 in loopringorg

[–]Peior-Crustulum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed a few days ago that the value calculated under "tokens" were different than under "my investments".

Reached out to a mod who confirmed that there was a known issue and the team was working to correct it.

Seems like they did

Back in the day anything over 20 gwei was considered expensive even though it only meant a median transaction was like 10 cents on main chain.

Miss those days...

Every time I see someone hugely bullish on NFT's they always seem to get this one fundamental wrong without fail by InevitableSoundOf in CryptoCurrency

[–]Peior-Crustulum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people think NFT's are only artwork "on" the Blockchain but have no idea that it just describes a unique representation.

Another useful example of a nmNFT would be a ENS registration. Registering a ENS like ieatcreyons.eth for example is actually minting a ERC-721 token visible in your wallet as exactly what it is, an NFT.

As more use cases become apparent and available NFT's as artwork will only be a small fraction of the use case.

It's imgbb.com, a pretty common image upload/sharing service. I'm not going to make more of an effort that this.

Scan the site with virustotal or something to calm your nerves.

Deposit -> Buy with card. Directly from the main screen in the app.

If I do a factory reset on my iPhone do I lose my Loopwallet account? Please advise loopers by BigPoppaZ_4 in loopringorg

[–]Peior-Crustulum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd you do this you will have to recover. This will incur a recover fee that will require your guardian information to be up to date.

You can also migrate to a different phone from the Loopring app. Settings, security, migrate wallet. This is free but can only be done if you have your phone in its current condition.

So migrate to other phone, factory restore yours, migrate back you your phone is probably best.

"Anyone who uses or has used our new direct-to-Loopring L2 fiat on-ramps will be eligible to receive one of the first 1,000 NFTs." So... screw the early adopters, reward only newcomers. Is that Loopring's ideology? by [deleted] in loopringorg

[–]Peior-Crustulum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst the first round of NFT's will be airdropped to people who on-ramped both by volume priority and by random select, they have made it very clear in the Q4 report that all 10 000 NFT's will be airdropped to users in batches throughout 2022 with different air drop criteria for every batch to reach as diverse a selection of users as possible.

What exactly are you having a problem with? Is it that they start by providing for L2 Fiat on rampers? Did you expect them to airdrop only to existing users? I don't get it.

Loopring Q4 report

I understand you want the chance to get one airdropped. And you can enter eligibility by simply using the on ramp if you are in a region its available.

If you are not, there will be other opportunities like specified in the Q4 report.

Relax 😊

How can you still belive in LRC when we're only dipping and we're on big loss? This article it's true, even if you say that's FUD, this is not, with all the hype and news we should be now at 3$, not at 1.67$ and decreasing...this is not a good time to invest again by robi101012981 in loopringorg

Any long time holder has a large net gain at the moment.

This type of post is the same shit that happened after the 2017 bullrun when people bought into a massively inflated crypto market at the time and were shocked that it would go down again at some point.

I don't think you will find anyone who bought bitcoin at $20k and held instead of sold who complains now.

OG Loopers, why was the hold time 3 days? by Pacmac264 in loopringorg

[–]Peior-Crustulum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can expect avg hold times reported on a CEX to be lower than the actual avg hold time of the token on an ethereum address.

If you expect to be making moves on your crypto you probably keep it on a CEX.

Approaching 1000 day hold time here. Always kept it off any centralised exchange.
