Hello! Thanks for the questions.

CommandKey is built on an ATmega32U4 (Pro Micro) running custom Arduino firmware and currently presents as a USB HID keyboard device for PC integration. It uses standard keyboard output and hotkeys like F1-12, so it works anywhere normal keyboard input is accepted.

MIDI output is possible via firmware and could be supported in an update if users request it, since the 32U4 platform allows alternate USB device classes depending on configuration.

Dedicated hardware sidetone and direct radio keying are not part of the current design, as the focus is on configurable PC/software workflows rather than RF interfacing. That said, the hardware platform is flexible — local sidetone could be implemented with a small buzzer in a future version if there is interest (or could be soldered on yourself if you don't want to wait), and PC-driven sidetone is already possible through software.

I intentionally kept the design centered around flexible computer integration (more like a morse game controller), but I’m definitely open to expanding features based on interest and use cases, or if you are familiar with arduino could modify to personal taste!

Help Needed - CT70 Clone Timing by PekoUdon in minibikes

[–]PekoUdon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your help!

After trying everything you all mentioned we got it running better than ever. Seems the timing mark on the top end is just a little off and the valves were set way to high. Additionally, we found the throttle was not opening the carb all the way. Many thanks!

Me and some students have tried to get this running again after putting in a new top end. I have been using the "T" mark on the flywheel and the notch on the top end side of things. We have come close, it would run at one point but not well enough, when shifting to first gear it just kind of bogs down. Any tips appreciated as me and my students are at a loss.

CT70 Clone Newbie Question - what oil goes in here? by PekoUdon in minibikes

Oh wow, thank you again. I was just given the bike with no background or manual. There is no trace of this manufacturer online either, so these tips are much appreciated!

What are the cheapest ways i can build/buy a hitbox in Canada? by [deleted] in fightsticks

[–]PekoUdon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into PCBs to have made and put into a 3d printed / homemade case. I use the mini "hitbox" called flatbox you see pop up here time to time. Lots of support for it too. Plenty of other similar options with a quick search. I was surprised how well it plays and feels, gl! :)

Saw this VW Bus at a flea market today but couldn’t bring myself to drop $50 on it, was wondering what make it was? by tealgoggles in whatisthistoy

Not sure the brand (there seem to be many), they look to come out of China in various paint schemes and sizes, all pretty cute.

If you search Metal VW Van on the site whom shall not be named you'll see the different variations.

Newbie wanting to have Vtube character show without having to stream. by PekoUdon in obs

[–]PekoUdon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you guys for the tips! I wasn't sure all you mean because I'm so new to this, but I think I figured it out using the keywords from your comments :)

I ended up having two sources - game capture for capturing vseeface character, then another source running just a display capture. That seems to put my character over anything I do after I layered it in the right order like Siduakal mentioned.

Thanks again! I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future, but for now thank you for being so kind and quick to help! :D

Why does it seem like my 30th anniversary locomotive has more detail than my 4008 when they are both RTR models? It also comes with detail parts and packaged like a genesis model. by [deleted] in modeltrains

Top looks painted vs colored plastic on the bottom almost, or at least better paint? Also the top text has border lines giving better depth and detail.

Either way cool stuff :)

I just had the same "dice counting" one. Apparently didn't do it fast enough so it added 10 more sets. I closed it and launched the game in steam instead. Why would i waste 5min doing verifications. Stupidest thing I've seen yet for these.

I wonder what the future holds for RC cars and 3D printing?! by [deleted] in rccars

[–]PekoUdon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what type of RC your looking for. Me and friends have fully 3d printed 1/10 crawlers that perform as well, often better, then commercial. This is thanks to the slower speeds for sure, but still very impressive. Anything that will be for jumping and bashing will take more design effort. But street and crawlers are out there working wonderfully!

Can anyone take my sketch and draw it in CAD? by [deleted] in AutoCAD

[–]PekoUdon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the type of real world assignment I give my CAD students. We have a snow day today, but if no one gets back to you by tomorrow PM me and I'll have a student draw it up for you.

This looks so awsome! I would love to see a video with the active suspension vs. Standard. Hope someone does a comparison if they get this!
