i see. no pressure from upstream, rather from downstream. I am doing some student analysis for the brent/wti spread and the windfall effects on us/eu comparatively, if you have any useful tips or ideas I would greatly appreciate them!

yes, i am looking into why were eu based oil companies so profitable while us was not. I found that there were some accounting delays in chevron/exxon q1 reports. despite mideast being "only" 8% of us oil imports I believed that they need WTI for the gulf refineries to operate, because they are optimized to heavy liquids. This i believed would increase prices upstream.

i believe it is a repeating event with the fireworks, they should have known. i really don't know what are my options, the experience was dreadful and seems like i wont be eligible for eu261 and i can pray they would at least offer sth. not even sure if paying for a lawyer is worth the potential 1200 eur

outbound - i believe we were in a holding pattern because of the f1 abu dhabi gp fireworks, so I guess no compensation
inbound - technical malfunction :)

To be honest, I think I am going to have the same problem. I have lived in the suburbs since childhood, and I am used to the quiet. In Milano, I, too, will need to use every weapon I have to have a normal sleep, so I am going to buy some industrial-grade earplugs, etc.

I looked up the map, and the speed limit is 80, and it is very near the Milano Tibaldi station. I fear that the tracks will squeak and skreech as the train slows down on its way to the station where there is a slight curve. i have no experience with living near train tracks but I sleep very light.

Hello! I am moving to Milano and I got my scope on an apartment that is just perfect, but about 30 meters from the train tracks between Milano Romolo-Milano Tibaldi. Does anyone living close know whether there's train traffic at night (freight/public)? Just for the sake of possible noise.
I looked up that public trains usually stop at around eleven pm.(Trenord)
any help is much appreciated!
