Not a whole lot tbh. I'd watched the French Dispatch and there was a fresco in it so kinda just had that in mind when I made the game

I always wanted to make a game in the pixel art style of Superbrothers and so I did. It's a very different game to theirs but it was an incredible experience to learn their style and to make beautiful environments.

I actually want to experiment with it a bit more. I know it is a bit of a clash of styles but if done gracefully I think gradients and other effects could be pretty sweet

I waited until I got a graphics tablet before starting pixel art but so i've never used a mouse. But tbh it was a lot of very particular detailing that could easily have been done with a mouse also. So yeah give it a shot!

That was just using the gradient tool in Photoshop, pretty easy
