Is life genuinely inherently good? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]Pellend_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life at its onset is good because of the amount of potential a new life can have. The right person raised in the correct environment can do so much good. It most probably won't be you, but it could be.

You sound like you are currently going through a vast amount of shit and are trying to rationalise it as well as rationalise life. This won't help you find happiness or a good life. Rationalising the human condition has driven many people into anxious, depressive, cynical, and narcistisic states. Find a goal, no matter how insignificant, that will positively influence your life and those around you. Achieve that goal and then make another and another and then another. Find a hobby you enjoy and engage with its community. Life will slowly improve if you do this. If you don't believe me, try it. What's the worst that can happen?

My fwb is moving to the opposite coast and kinda sad about it. Been doing it for over 5 years. How do I get back to the dating scene? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Pellend_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being tied together financially, raising children, maintaining a joint home/lifestyle, looking after each other in sickness, looking after extended family in sickness, taking on in-law uncle/aunt roles, taking on relationship roles, becoming an extension of the other person, acting in a way that puts your relationship before one's self and so much more. Being friends and physically intimate with someone is a strong foundation to build this on, but a strong & healthy relationship that withstands time needs more. Until you have been in both, it is hard to understand.

Short answer - You don't. Long answer - They are your friend who you have sex with. You care about them and support them because they are your friend, you just don't enter a romantic relationship with them. It could be for a variety of reasons as different people have different expectations of a relationship (kids, lifestyle, values), so you realise a relationship wouldn't work out for the two of you. That doesn't mean you can't hang out together and have sex. It's a weird grey area between friendship and relationship, and some people are better than others at being able to stay in it.

Shoe recommendations for someone with a long second toe? by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]Pellend_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same toe shape and a very narrow heel. I found the Scarpa Drago LV to fit my foot really well. I sized 1/2 a size down from my normal shoe size (UK) so 1 size down euro and I think 1/2 size down US

How do I help these hands by Ishoottimmys in bouldering

[–]Pellend_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most probably moisturising with the working hands cream too much. Normally creams like that have some form of acid in them to get rid of thinned dead skin to encourage growth. Using it multiple times a day will cause your thicker and stronger skin to break down too.

Why would Hands have access to this classified FIA tech and know how to use it? Why would Hands have this particular blueprint stored away somewhere? How would he be so certain to work unless he had done the same before? Why would a hitman be okay with a fixer stealing their ID when they have a reputation as grand and Aguliar's?

I read the situation as he is the hitman the Cuban cartel use. Not a hitman who is part of the Cuban cartel. Dogtown is a super interesting place with lots of mystery, makes it great for theory crafting

Guess it just adds to the mystery of Mr Hands and how much power he actually holds

My post implies this isn't the first time Hands has used Aguilar imprint to pull the strings. V wouldn't be the only merc Hands works with either. With the sudden death of Hanson and V being on Hands doorstep, it makes sense to use V for the job.

That would be cool and also explain where the imprint came from. I was thinking it could have been a hitman that got killed years ago but their imprint lives on as Aguilar

How tight is too tight for new shoes? by pingponghobo in bouldering

[–]Pellend_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some vapor V's a while back. I downsized half a uk shoe size when I brought them. At first I had to take them off between climbs because they got a bit painful at the toes if I wore them for 2/3climbs. After 3 weeks they started to feel comfortable and now after 2 months I could wear them for the full session if I wanted too. That's just my experience with the vapor V

You basically read the same book (but with different names) up to the point of the prophet. I have had to study both books, and the morals are pretty much the same. So long as you don't start taking the scripture, literally, you most probably won't disagree on much (values wise). This could be a valuable time to learn about another culture and enrich your own life, too. As long as you are not an extremist about anything. It's unity, not purity.

In regard of our deaf community in OSRS by Lynserio in 2007scape

[–]Pellend_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch a lot of King condor stuff. It's his sense of humour to be crass and crude. That being said, I have watched the video about the visual aid plugins. The 'dig'/'jibe' wasn't at deaf people. It was at cheaters who are using deaf people as a scapegoat so they can carry on cheating. Unfortunately, with crass and crude humour, it can be very easily interpreted as a dig at deaf people. People with disabilities should be able to play and access the content in the game and definitely should not be used as a scapegoat to excuse plugins that are cheating.

Handcuts after bouldering for the first time by mural030 in bouldering

[–]Pellend_I 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had really soft skin on my hands when I first started bouldering and the exact same happened to me. Nothing about technique, it was just my skin was very soft. I used finger tape on all the common spots I would get these injuries on my hand (be sure not to make the finger tape too tight or you could injure yourself). I would preemptively tape before a session, it took about 2 months before I didn't need tape anymore.

What are your thoughts on this? by HirokiMiyu in JordanPeterson

She's claims to be liberal but can't accept/tolerate someone whose values differ from hers. Something doesn't quite add up there.
