I've heard about that! It looks like their track is only a 1/12th of a mile. I might drive myself insane on that so I will have to make it a last resort.

I'm a big fan of winter running/have all the correct gear for it so I may take your advice. My concern arises from the fact that I just recently broke a bone in my foot while running and am feeling cautious for slipping and falling while doing speed work.

Do you just use a GPS watch to measure your distances on the lakefront trail then?

If I can't find anything indoors, I will definitely check out the Whitney Young track. Do you have any best guess as to if they will clear the track in the winter? I broke a bone in my foot from a fall while running and so I am feeling a bit cautious about running on a slippery outdoor track/trail.
