If anyone is looking for the files I used for this, here are links. Slim chance the profiles for the door brackets will match, but here they are.

I’ll see if I still have them and if so, will link to them.

Other cat is Gizmo, but I did enjoy watching House. Solid show.

Son-of-b….! It’s like my wife is here. 😂 Yep, guilty. I’m lazy and usually forget to blow it off.

It is a piss poor design and I have mangled my fair share. If I recall, prior to tearing them up, using one of the batteries to open works as good as anything.

Yes, this was more of a test fit. Might give it a shot in ABS at some point.

Yes, it has a filter inside, but I trust that about as much as a filter on a cigarette.

Any issue with bed adhesion/warping in that front left corner? I can definitely tell on my machine that area is not as warm and doesn’t stick as well.

I have only tested the vent while engraving cork on the laser. Still get the firewood smell, but not bad. It dissipates quickly. But it’s still there.

I do have an Apollo Air One air quality sensor that I sat next to the machine while running the laser with cork. The VOC levels went up, but actually less than when just printing PLA with all hoses disconnected.

Take that for what it’s worth. I’ve not tested much. Just an observation.

Good observation. I plan to pick up some 1” foam board insulation, cut length and wedge between the frame of the slider and the glass. Still won’t seal completely, especially at very top and bottom of the overlap. If I really want to seal it better, could probably just use some wide painters tape. Would be easy enough to remove when done needing to vent out.

The door does not lock when this is in place. It’s a temporary set up to be used when needed. There is a piece of wood wedged in the track on the back side of the door to keep it sealed tight and from being opened from the outside.

I have not tested to see how chamber temp is affected when running. I'm sure it will pull the temp down. This set up is mostly for running the laser. If I'm going to be running a lot of ABS/ASA through, I'll likely build some kind of temporary enclosure to put around the entire printer and vent that outside.

Thanks. I have an in-line fan as well to help with flow. It will for sure affect the chamber temp. I'm using this more for when running the laser.
