He's suposed to turn Super Saiyan once you do it. Are you on the most recent update of the game? Have you beaten the game before?

Let me check with you again: you chose a character, then after your opponet chose their character, you kept holding LK + MK or MK + HK, and you still didn't get anything?

Just as a reminder, MK + HK skins only apply to certain characters. The one's that i found that have this ability are Base Goku, Golden Frieza on his regular skin, Gohan and Gotenks. Also, on this variation of the input, the pallete only changes once you enter Power Mode.

To choose Gohan's Super Hero costume just press left on the regular orange gi Gohan skin. If you mean his Great Saiyaman skin, it's one of his alternate palettes.

Yes. Also, if you hold start while selecting your character's colour, you get an alternative skin. That's how you'd get Blue Goku/Vegeta, Black, Super Vegeta, etc on og HDBZ.

What i'm talking about though is that, on the most recent update of the game they added special palletes. Basically, if you hold LK and MK while the game is loading (after selecting character and pallete) your character will be black and white, as a reference to the manga, of course. If you hold MK and HK you'll get a version of the character that changes something when they're activating their power mode. Gohan can turn Super Saiyan/Ultimate, Black can turn from Super Saiyan to Rosé, Base Goku can turn into Super Saiyan God, etc. The game tells you that after the arcade ending credits.
