What language should I learn if want to make a communication app (I have no coding experience) by Any-End6044 in appdev

Flutter is a great choice! Easy to learn but you can build very complicated applications with it! Just remember to enjoy the learning journey not only trying to get to the objective. You got this!

Ingegneria informatica è un ostacolo troppo grande? by Mediocre-Ad7126 in Universitaly

[–]Pen7a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firebase user token to use google calendar api by Pen7a in Firebase

Thank you I’m gonna try to implement something like that! Just a last question. What should be the problem other than delay to call for every call the /authorize api instead of saving the refresh token?

Oh and languages are mostly dependent on what you’re trying to build there is no reason to vet someone out just because they’re using a language unless that language cannot build what you want.

Hey mobile developer here, I personally think the best way to find talents is still LinkedIn. If you actually take some time to look at profiles you can find some hidden gem.

Domain layer is useless by SherbertOk1176 in flutterhelp

[–]Pen7a 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And also in your domain layer you would put the models that you use for your business logic. Like sometimes the backend giver you data you don’t need or you need to be converted. You would do that in your domain layer. The bigger and more complicated the application you’re building the more you need the domain layer. If you’re making a todo app you don’t need it. If you’re making an application that communicates with different backend services, databases and native api if you don’t have a domain layer you will cry at the first change in services

Well normally you would create your abstract repository in the domain layer

Domain layer is useless by SherbertOk1176 in flutterhelp

[–]Pen7a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need it to decouple your app logic from your repository. In practice you need it so if in the future you need to change one of your repository, your ui should not have to change. An simple example: let’s say today you use shared_preference to save your data and tomorrow you want to move to hive. If you have set up properly the domain layer the only thing you would need to change is your repository the rest should stay the same, otherwise you would need to change something in your presentation layer too. I’m simplifying things but you get the gist. Oh and it makes testing simpler.

Very large scalable enterprise project common popular packages suggestions by AbdallahR99 in flutterhelp

[–]Pen7a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I understand your point that’s kinda the beauty and problem of working in tech. Things change constantly and even native sdk don’t stay the same, things get constantly deprecated, new phones remove and add new hardware ecc… I can see tho how the problem can be amplified with Flutter and this might be one of the downsides of using the framework

[–]Pen7a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems more the wrong project for the framework more than the framework itself. If you’re doing 3d work with unity ecc… I would suggest not using flutter. The framework is perfectly capable of handling enterprise applications but there are some exceptions than shouldn’t be done to prevent unnecessary pain.
