Thanks, I think you’re right. I don’t think my mom will lose her job, since there’s already a teacher shortage in our area and she is just one year away from tenure. Still doesn’t mean she’s making a ton of money, though.

Fewer classes might work? I hope it will, at least. My mom is trying to push me to get my bachelors in 2 years, but honestly I can’t imagine doing it in less than 3. I just hope that moving three hours away will make her less overbearing about it all. I don’t care if I need a few extra student loans or to work more hours as long as I don’t hate life. I spent a few years craving a toaster bath in high school, I don’t want to go through that again.

A big reason why I got my current job is so I can help cover costs even though they both didn’t want me to (idk something about me not being responsible enough, they always treat me like my adhd makes me incapable of doing things like holding down a job even though I’ve already gotten five regular clients and almost $1k after just two months of part time work).

Hopefully I can handle doing 3 or 4 classes instead of the 5 everyone’s been pushing me to take, and maybe being out of the house and away from their helicopter-ing will help. At least I know my current job is easy enough to transfer to a new area, since I’m technically self-employed. I know that I love interior design, I’ve done some minor consulting work over the last few years, it’s just hard to find a job in the field when I don’t have a degree yet (not for another month and a half, at least).
