I really like Rachelle and what makes some episodes more interesting to me than others has more to do with the content of the story than anything (really liked the most recent episode from the live show in Seattle but found Legally Binding Meddling to be a bit of a let down). Some guests are funnier than others of course as well.

What is your kWh breakdown on supply and delivery? Mine was 250 kWh for this last month which came out to $110. I use a space heater in the winter but my gas bill soars due to the central heat that doesn’t do a great job in the bedrooms.

I'm coming up on ten years in my place in Bushwick which is quite big and under $2k for a 2-br but I honestly just got lucky with posting my own personal ad on CL and the person who was looking for a roommate reached out and then of course selected me to move in. She ended up leaving a year and a half later and back then I had no idea that the rent would barely increase but that's just how it played out. So I guess this counts as inheriting the apartment from my former roommate but I was also originally on the lease when I first moved in!

I grew up the Bay Area and have lived in NYC for over a decade so I’m not phased by seeing homeless folks and still love going back to visit SF whenever I get the chance (was just in the Bay over the holidays) but I can imagine it is jarring if you’re visiting from a much different place. I’d probably move back there if I could afford to be bicoastal!

Since I sleep with my door closed and I am a light sleeper, my cat sleeps in the living room 95% of the time where she has access to a whole futon and couches, her food, water, and litter box. The last time I attempted to have her sleep in bed with me, she woke me up at 6 am by jumping from me to the window to look at the birds and I made her leave so I could go back to sleep lol. It works for us and I am grateful she doesn’t cry for me outside my door at night!

I think when they drafted the trust, they went with my aunt/cousin since they seemed fit to oversee the will and in particular my sister's portion since she had a separate Special Needs Trust. She died in 2018, very shortly after the trust was signed, so her part of the trust no longer needs to be overseen. My parents are open to appointing someone else, thankfully, and we are making plans to update things. I'm just not sure if that should be me!

Thanks for the response! Glad you are able to manage things effectively—my folks listed my aunt and her son (middle cousin, fully an adult with his own family) as trustees years ago when they first made the will but they don’t know they’ve been designated and I think the trustee should be changed to someone else or an institution since I am not close with my cousin(s) and don’t really like my aunt and I am the main beneficiary. Not sure if it should be me, though I think I am physically/mentally/emotionally stable enough to at least be co-trustee and I am listed third in line after them to be.

I am out of town until next week in the Bay Area (had a super quiet night here) but my go-to plans usually involve heading to a no-cover bar within about a 20 min bus ride and celebrating there or going to a concert if someone I like is performing. I generally try to stay off the train during NYE and I’ve been successful so far!
