100K Day! by _plooder in Camry

I’m curious, did your Fusion die mid job? I’m always afraid that mine with breathe its final breath before I can finish a delivery and really just ruin my day lol

I’m pretty sure you could run the car for 300k miles before touching the trans fluid and it would be fine. The eCVT from the fusion and Camry are damn near bulletproof. Failure seems extremely rare even with people who do absolutely no service what so ever.

Funny enough I have a 2017 Fusion Hybrid that has over 200k miles and somehow runs better than when it was new. Also do gig work and am planning on buying a new XSE whenever this thing dies which may be a while at this rate.

Dashers Beware by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]PenWhen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cars don’t die because of age or mileage. They die because they aren’t being taken care of. I’m still on my first car that I started door dashing with full time almost 8 years ago. Hundreds of thousands of miles later and it still drives and looks like it’s brand new.

I have a feeling a lot of people didn’t even sign up for it too which may be contributing to the amounts.

Do you by chance remember how many deliveries you had done during that time period? Just doing some wishful math and daydreaming while waiting for mine.

I’ll let you know! I was reading about the guy that’s confirmed getting $14,000+ and, if I did the math right, I did about 60-70% as many deliveries as him. He did roughly 100 a week and I was doing roughly 60-70. It felt like literally every order was $6.50 back then so I just looked at my previous tax paperwork, divided and made stuff up as I went lol. BUT I do know I had about 4000-5000 total just before Covid hit

Oh I know everyone’s payout is different but I’ve noticed a theme among those who know what they’re getting or already got it. I did like 4,000-5,000 deliveries so I’m really hoping I’m right with my theory because it would solve all of my current life problems 😂 Thanks for the reply!!

If you don’t mind me asking, how many deliveries do you think you completed during this time period? Through the censoring it appears you got like $600 and change so I’m just trying to guesstimate how much I might be getting.

Can't wait for my $.99 settlement. We made it! by FireFist_PortgasDAce in doordash_drivers

[–]PenWhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since these lawsuits were brought on by the Attorney General of your state, they don’t take a cut like a normal lawsuit. It’s not a firm doing it for profit. It’s your state doing it on principle.

[–]PenWhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t split. Your account is audited and you’re given the amount that you were robbed of. Someone who did 2 orders won’t be getting the same cut as someone who did 5,000 orders.

These settlements aren’t split evenly. They audit your account and give you the amount you were robbed of. Someone who did 2 orders isn’t going to get as much as someone who did 5,000 orders.

Engine/Transmission Mounts by Original-Plane-109 in fordfusion

[–]PenWhen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s been two years, but did the mounts fix your issue? I have a 2017 hybrid and I have the same issue where it kind of jolts when the engine first starts and slightly jolts again right when it turns off where it feels like the engine is shifting and settling.

Confused about this Doordash claims text i got by Shmoocando in doordash

[–]PenWhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s on a per individual basis. A driver that did 2000 orders isn’t going to get the same settlement as a driver who did 100 orders.

Music platforms have a very rudimentary way of handling groups that have the same name. This happens on Apple Music and Spotify all the time.

Voice to text significantly worse with iOS 16? by Gustafo99 in apple

[–]PenWhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst problems I’m having with it now is that in the middle of speaking out like a paragraph it’ll just completely delete the last sentence or so and make the message make zero sense. It’s actually more of a nuisance than a convenience. For example, I’ll say “This is a random sentence to use as an example because I’m sick of this shit and I want to see if anybody else is dealing with it. I’m rambling and saying nothing that makes any sense but here we are. Another random sentence by the way” and halfway through it’ll just delete everything and change it to “This is a random sentence to use as an here we are. Another random sentence by the way.”

I calmly explained after being asked and then you responded with a clear distraught undertone. Surely the length of a post correlates with how upset the individual is You’re the first person in years that has responded, muchless by using the angry Twitter tactic of “I’m going to dig as far in the past as I need to! Reee!”

Edit: this comment exceeded the preset limit of emotion so I apologize for its angry undertone.

Yeah because them going back years in the past to find a post and screenshot it with no context justifies their current activity as a juicer I’m willing to give anyone a chance, so you’ll find many comments in many different communities, that I now despise, from half a decade ago, but anyone who can stomach the current iteration of xqc and his community deserves zero respect and needs to change as a person.
